By all means save this Mower with the Kawasaki engine! I've just saved ours, and when I got to looking into engine wearout, I was shocked to see that the valve adjustments held steady for 15 years, and are within .0005 of what the spec is! That is unbelievable, even cars don't hold tolerances that well as they undergo a lot of wear and tear. Your problem is probably the same exact same one that I had. It throws you for a loop for sure. MOST LIKELY it is your carburetor MAIN JET, that you need to actually unscrew and clean with nylon Fishing Line. Yes! My Jet actually looked great, with my eyesight, it had a very round opening and didn't look like any junk was blocking it. BUT ... there was uniform build-up of gasoline residues, that I was able to rough-out, but using fishing line and just running it through the jet maybe 10 times, and when I saw the opening getting larger, I knew I was onto something! The Fishing Line won't damage the soft brass jet, so don't worry about enlarging the opening too much. But once you get this back in, and your Carb back on, you will be amazed! As you throttle-up and then Engage the Blade Clutch, the Engine will pull strongly and NOT Stall-Out !!! Oh - There is NO replacement or rebuilt carburetor available, so treat it well, you can probably re-use the same gaskets, and maybe a little bit of gasket sealer -Automotive type is fine. one of the worst problems is not using the blind carbon copy feature when forwarding emails. And unfortunately the ones that will do that are your trusted friends and family! I never forward an email that shows others email addresses it is just very very bad behavior and it shows no regard for the people whose addresses are being spread all over the net. When I have people do that to me I politely ask them not to include my email address in those emails if they can not use the BCC feature. I in turn will not use theirs in that fashion either. I usually also include a link like these. I don't know anyone who supplies there real info to web based email accounts. Why would anyone do that?? What ever info you enter should be written down and saved somewhere though. If you should ever forget your password or your account gets hijacked they will ask you for you "information". After all they can't just send out passwords for accounts to just anybody who asks for it claiming to be the owner of said account. I learned this the hard way with my Yahoo account. They needed to know my birthday in order to retrieve my password for me and how the heck would I remember what I had put down when I signed up? Good-bye Yahoo email account. Some email services ask for your referrer email account too so take note of that also.

Background: 1920s house, hydronic cast iron radiator heat. Peerless mod/con boiler with indirect water heater installed by local pro in 2010. We have been quite happy with the boiler, water heater, operating efficiency, etc. however, I am afraid that there is an issue with the water supply equipment. First, as of two years ago, the back flow preventer on the fill line started dripping. Since it is a condensing boiler, I routed the drain line to the condensate pump (it was a very slow drip), and shut the two valves around the fill regulator and the back flow preventer. I don't like to leave those open anyway, since a leak while were not home could make a huge mess. Recently, as part of a kitchen renovation, we moved a radiator, and so had to drain the system. The system was always at 12-13 psi before, and the auto fill regulator label says it stops at 13psi. However, after refilling, the watts auto fill regulator seems to be filling the system to 20 psi and then slowing the flow. I drained down the system a bit to lower the pressure, and tried again with the same result. I would guess its a weak spring on the regulator (looks like it is set by a threaded rod with a locknut), but this stuff isn't old. So I'd appreciate thoughts on how to proceed. These items can be isolated from both sides via valves, so replacement should be straightforward. Should we replace with watts products? Other brands? As mentioned, I'm not a fan of leaving the auto fill hooked up with the valves open anyway, so is manual fill really best? Would all this actually be an indication of a need to put air in the expansion tank (Honeywell, set to 12 psi per label), which also is not old (installed when the boiler went in), or something else? We have a whole house filter, but I think the boiler fill is the lowest/last point in the piping, so I would imagine junk from the lines could get caught there. Thanks for your thoughts!
