New dishwasher=dirty glasses

I recently replaced my old Bosch d/w with a new one. The old one worked pretty well but the utensil caddy had holes and one of the racks needed replacing. We inquired about replacing the parts but it cost almost as much as a new machine so we bit the bullet and got one.

The problem? I have noticed that the glasses have a white film about and inch or two from the bottom. This only started with the new machine. I used the same detergent, cascade tabs and jet dry.

I called Bosch and they told me about the phosphates being removed which I new from this forum. I don't understand why this didn't happen with my old machine. They advised me to change to the Finish tabs and try Dishwasher Magic. I just bought the DM ($6.00) and ran the dishwasher with it. I'm not at all sure that this will fix the situation. I'm also not happy to have to buy additional cleaning products for a brand new machine.

Are there any other suggestions.
