Very cute! I love all the pumpkins and the bowl of eyeballs, LOL!

Looks great, Tam, you went all out. I think you did a fine job! I didn't do much at all as we went in to see the gkids for Halloween, and we don't get anyone here. So all the stuff stayed in the boxes, except my faux pumpkins, and scarecrows, which can stay for Tgiving too.
So what did dson think of the American Halloween????

Kathleen...I have alot of fall/Thanksgiving decorations and that is my next task...I think I usually skipped decorating for halloween because I just decorated for fall instead...but the black and white halloween look is growing on me...:)
My son really enjoyed 'american halloween'. He said he wished he would have had a chance to experience it when he was younger and be part of the "trick or treat" crowd. Now he is looking forward to next year when he will be 21 and can celebrate Halloween at an 'american halloween party' ...lol

Tam, if you call that a few touches and rushed, I can't wait to see what you do next year. These are wonderful decorations!!!!! That black and white is very striking!
I so loved reading about your son's great pleasure in Halloween this year. Fun and what great memories you two made! I'm so happy for both of you. I think we need a photo of him in his costume tho!

Yes...we carved the pumpkins, my youngest did the skull, my oldest the reaper that slipped and I did the owl and the tree. I then wanted to try carving fauz pumpkins because it is so sad to see the real ones deteriate after a week. The creepy one and the lab were my faux pumpkin carvings.

I still can't go over your family's carving skills on the pumpkins, just amazes me. Carving faux ones is a great idea I think. That's what I'd do if I could carve like that, I'd want to keep my creations and not watch them get sent to Trashland like the real ones.

Tam, it sounds like the three of you had a wonderful time and what a fantastic job on the pumpkins! I agree with Karen, hard to believe this was a rush job! Everything is spookily wonderful.

I think my favorite thing is the little witch on the broom that's hanging under the shelf. Love that!

I've never seen so many well-carved pumpkins. I also really liked the orange and black ornaments in the apothecary jars.

I can't make out how big the round orange lights on your porch are. Are they just balls or are they pumpkins? Where did you get them?

oldalgebra...they are little plastic pumpkin string lights...I've had them for a few years I am pretty sure I got them at that time at either michaels or target.

tam - I love all of your decorations. You did a beautiful job. It sounds like your sons had a great Halloween! The costume is wonderful and it is fun for the little ones if the giver of the candy is dressed for the occasion. We have only had one trick-o-treater in 18 years. Living in the country, it is dark and I can't blame any child for not wandering down my long dark driveway. I live here and think it is scary:,)

I purchased the white faux pumpkin at Michaels and carved it. I found the pattern on one the master pumpkin cd's that came with a carvng kit (aslo from Michaels or Joanns). He looks just like my Lab did when he was a puppy...eight years ago...lol

Thanks tam. I have 2 labs and I would love to do a pumpkin that would last for more than a couple of days. DD and I usually use the master pumpkin carving patterns on the real pumpkins, but now I think I may try using them on the faux pumpkins. Did you buy the CD recently? Our patterns are from years past. I took the book and photocopied several of the pages to use in the future. I didn't know they were available on CD.

I forgot to comment on the fact that your little guys in costume are like the ones Judith bought this year. Don't think Judith got to use her's though. Wonder if she saw this pic of your's? They look really cute in that display and I love the candleholder and pumpkin with the design on it too. Luvs

Tam, I forgot to ask where you found those two sets of Happy Pumpkin Trios in your house. Their smiling faces and the grapevine(?) wrapped around them is just toooo cute.
