Do you use real player?, it does the same thing windows media player does this thing is a resource hog, uninstall it through the add remove programs if you do not use it..This thing runs all day scanning for realplayer updates.

This one does not need to be running if at any time you think you need an update from HP vist the HP web site..

Go to Start Run, in the run box type MSCONFIG look for this entry (HPWuSchd2.exe) in the start up tab or the service tab, uncheck it reboot, a window will pop up place a check mark in the box that says Don't show this message again. You will need to do that exercise every time you use MSCONFIG.

C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SUPERAntiSpyware.exe This does not have to run unless it is the paid version,
Use MSCONFIG again.

That's it check it once in a while and you will get used to what is running on the pc, and quickly recognize new items that can get added with out your knowledge.

eausbkbd.exe
is installed alongside a Compaq USB keyboard. Allows access to the extra keyboard keys which come with this input device. Enabling or disabling this process is down to user preference. Use MSCONFIG HERE unless you use the service.

"Compaq Message Server"(compaq-rba.exe) is not required to run at start up. Applies to the CPQBootPerfDB entry as well. These files generate some kind of server or servlet that attempts to connect with Compaq online. Use MSCONFIG HERE.

Am I unchecking and then clicking apply. Or am I unchecking and clicking disable? I am confuse, sorry.

Me again. I uninstalled RealPlayer through add/remove however it said that one file could not be deleted:

C://Documents and Settings\My name\Application Data\Real\RealPlayer

Should I just use that path and delete from there? Thanks for all your help on all my current issues in all these posts.

Yes follow the path & delete it.

Now for this one:

(Uncheck click apply) in MSCONGIG, Then reboot after you reboot a window will pop up too in that (window) there is a little box in the left corner put a check mark in that box. DO not show this message again. If you don't do that that stupid window will open with that crazy warning everytime.

L@@king good here. The only two things I couldn't find in service or start up are:
eausbkbd.exe and compaq-rba.exe so I couldn't disable them. Don't know what to do about that.

Well I wonder where those are running from, I bet there running from a folder somewhere. I'll look around some.

What I will do first is Google "Disable (eausbkbd.exe) and see what turns up.

eauskbp.exe is for Compaq computers and controls the extra keyboard buttons like volume control etc. Probably should not be disabled. See here

The compaq-rba.exe will attempt to contact Compaq via the internet. It provides assistance to users with regard to their computer and its operation, and feedback to Compaq. If you are not interested in receiving this kind of information, or do not wish to provide usage information to Compaq, you can disable this process. See here

using msconfig it is not in the services or startup that i can see, but is in the running processes. Where would i delete it from as i don't need or want it? thanks.

owbist is right leave it alone, lets not fine tune it so much that we start to loose functionally.
