I just bought a flash drive but the instructions are hard to read. What do I do to transfer an email from one pc to another. Would appreciate; how to start using a flash drive.

If you post your email client (outlook, outlook express, thunderbird) someone will post instructions. You want to export your mail to the flash drive and import it from there to your new computer. You may have to move the folders if the mail client won't export the email.

My son got me a flash drive for a Christmas gift and we used it to carry everything I wanted to have on my new computer by dragging the folders to the flash drive until it was filled, then transfered the files to the new computer. Then transferred the files on the flash drive to the new hard drive in the new computer.

Gene, I never noticed or heard of that before. If these pictures are special to you may I recommend multi-copies over various media with a disk and a thumb drive at a minimum. The estimated life cycle of storage media is still in its infancy stage and are only approximations/estimates/guesses. No one really knows what the future may bring. So why not give yourself a little insurance by doing so. You may consider free on-line storage also. DA

Take a look at the rather long article linked below, it may offer some help. When reading this take a closer look at the photo where he/she has the front connector plugs that fits on the motherboard and his hand showing. You see those 2 connectors off to the left? There really seems to be no place for those on some motherboard yet they need to be connected. Hi Bob, thanks for the quick response..more questions. I have 65 File Folders, some only have one photo, other's have 4-12. Must I add all 65 folders to come up with an accurate number of MB's. I can't find any place that gives me a total of My Photo's. Steve
