Wanted: affordable, modern-looking shower-tub combination

I'm building a new house and need to find a standard 60" shower-tub combination that will serve a couple with a newborn baby. The ceilings are vaulted and ten feet high, so we are looking for something without a roof cap. We want something white, durable, and simple, without too many alcoves, ledges or crevasses. I've looked at swanstone walls over a tub, all-in-one shower-tub units, acrylic, fiberglass, and other options; I'm not sure what the pros and cons of each option are. We are also working with a fixed budget - about $4000 for allowances for this bathroom and a washroom - so real tile is probably out of the question. My apologies for not being able to separate the cost of the shower/tub from our other expenses yet, but you can see that we don't have a lot of freedom in our choices.

I'd be grateful to anyone who has experience researching all the choices that make sense to me who is willing to help.

Thanks!
