When we were looking, we felt the Meile, Wolf and new Dacor models were the top tier. I don't know if the other two offer a rotisserie. We use one on the grill outdoors and can grill year round, so that wasn't a feature we were looking for. I'll give the nod to the Bosch DW, although you might want to check pricing on the Thermador models (made by Bosch) if you plan to use cabinet panels on them. I found the Thermador panel-ready models were less than the Bosch, but the stainless doors were less in Bosch. Quiet, clean well, and dry as well as any DW I've had (some folks think they don't dry plastic well) Micro -- Sharp makes many of the micros out their both with their name on them and with others. I don't think you can go wrong with Sharp, and you won't be paying for someone elses name on it. We did the drawer undercounter -- the only solution for micro placement that didn't cause problems in our layout. It works very well and has some nice features I didn't really pay attention to before we got it (sensor reheat and keep warm among others). Fridge -- if you are looking at Subzero, I would also look at the Thermador Freedom series. I have 2 of the colums and LOVE them. Range -- I have a range top and separate ovens, so my experiences may be a bit different. I have Wolf and am quite happy. Some folks seem to be having some issues with certain range models, so I'd look into that further. I hear a lot both ways about Viking, but all the others are pretty solid performers. You will hear that some love Thermador but others can't get past the cycling simmer. Think about how much you would actually use an extra low simmer function -- I have used mine no more than I could count on one hand in a year. The other one you will hear about here is Bluestar -- you may or may not find a distributor in your area. Among those brands, I would look for the look, feel and features that fit you best and feel good about your choice. Hood, I also looked at Independent, but they had along lead time then and got ruled out. I went into a dealer to look at VAH after reading comments about the difficulty cleaning one. Didn't seem like an issue to me, but the salesman I talked to recommneded Best by Broan over VAH after being able to do side by side comparissons (in a lab -- not the store -- the buyer never sees that). I've been happy with it (went with an external blower but didn't have room for a silencer) and DH greatly prefers the look of baffles over the open style of the VAH. I think I do too. It would be easier to know how big an issue that would be if any of the VAH dealers actually had one installed in a realisting setting and height. We had another issue over what kind of lighting and controls were on each model -- many things to consider. Good luck with the whole process. Enjoy your new home.

YW, montanamaven. A former employee of mine lives in Gildford Montana, so we gotta take good care of Montana. Well, following my own advice, (alto I do have this speed oven and it's Op Manual, I downloaded the parts manual). So we saw "This Posted" " If your reg Elux oven didn't have a top element or a bottom element you'd have a conniption if they tried to sell it as a "real" oven. I didn't pass judgement in the response only pointed out Miele had it Elux/others don't." Well, not "TOTALLY Accurate". The Electrolux DOES (YES DOES) have a TOP heating element. It also has a SIDE heating element---but you are correct doesnt have one on the bottom (I dont miss it as the side and top elements heat the thing plenty fast). Anyway, not pointing fingers, or telling anybody they were wrong etc etc, Just pointing out, that if we don't do our research "FIRST", before posting, then we are not gonna be as much help to folks that post questions---Don't ya think?? Let's see for example. (1) The Electrolux Speed oven Runs off 120 Volts not 230 WRONG (2) The Electrolux Speed oven does not have heaters below or above--Partially WRONG It does have a top heater, not a bottom heater but uses a side heater instead. (3) The Electrolux is not a real oven,---WRONG or PARTIALLY WRONG--- It can't bake and broil.---Partially wrong (broil??????)WRONG ABOUT NOT BAKING-- Done a ton of baking, as now we see it has both top and side elements (I wont talk about broil as I haven't tried it and the top burner does have a cover over it with holes, those of you that read the AJMadison reviews found, that according to the folks there, the oven bakes very nicely--some even said it bakes better than a regular oven---hmmmmm---where have we seen that said before??(Miele)??? I must admit, that finding the actual burner locations(top and sides) was a bit of a pain as I had to actually download the parts manual to find them-but butt butttt, I haven't really read the operators manual "TOTALLY and Complete"--of If I did my CRS kicked in an I forgot what I read. antss: great questions. The Lacanceh is totally emotional. i just love the way it looks. And, I don't expect it to die in the next few years so at least my investment is (hopefully) stable for some reasonable length of time. But, in the end, it's about the look, and the fact that it's not just the same old Wolf or Bluestar like everyone else. Total ego trip. The Miele oven? Combination of looks, performance (subtle, but I do think there are enough advantages in terms of convection cooking, software capabilitiers, etc as well, reliability (I hope), customer service (hope I don't need it) etc. You've seen the same threads here about ovens to know the issues. Yes, ZET1/2's get great reviews but I'm not willing to buy from a company likely not to exist (at least as we know it) in a year. The Therms? Fully integrated (what we wanted), and came in the right sizes (18'' and 30''), unlike the SZ 700's (27'' for both R and F units--too much freezer, too little fridge). Nothing else came close, esp at the price. Considered the Gaggs, but SS interior not enough to balance the lack of any factory authorized dealer in Atlanta. Miele columns--like I trust them to actually ship them when they've promised them. LOL. But........in the end, a kitchen redo is all about emotion. A good friend of ours is a professional chef. He can make an exquisite souffle in his 20 yaer old POS electric range that will exceed anything I'll ever do in my $$$$kitchen. Doesn't matter. I LOVE this kitchen that we're doing, LOVE the Lacanche, and in my weak moments gloat over how much cooler this stuff is than, let's say, an "All Viking Kitchen" like some neighbors have recently done. alku: great advice again. I have a 3 year old older model (E23CS75DSS) and I too was startled as how noisy it was right from the start. In addition, runs almost constantly, making matters worse. My 30 year old GE was less noisy. I was told that Electrolux products were good quality. How far from the truth! I have had so many other problems. The workmanship is very poor. Goes to show that looks are not everything. I get sick to my stomach when I think that I paid $2000 for this. It is not worth more than $500. Unfortunately due to the reputation of Electrolux in Europe we did not think that we needed to buy the extended warranty.
