BTW, I remember doing a google search and when I clicked on a link that msg box about freescan pop up, but I didn't click it to do a scan I immedicately closed all windows.

Lets try another scan and a cleaning program.

Please run these 2 programs in order first malwarebytes.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Click here
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
 The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt

 Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune to your Desktop.

Note: Vista users must use Run As Administrator
 Under Main: Select Files to Delete choose: Select All.
 Click the Empty Selected button.
 If you use Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All

If you would like to keep your saved passwords click No at the prompt.

I thought ATF would clear out the temporary Internet files.

In the browser clear out cokkies, temp files, history, run atf again, reboot, see if avg still finds it

ATF should have cleared it out of the temporary Internet files.
Clearing the temp internet files should work.

If you want, open My Computer - Local Disk C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files and delete it yourself.

\Content IE5\ That's a strange folder to me, I think it is hidden.

I wonder what would happen if you Googled "Content IE5"

Don't be afraid I'm pretty sure it was harmless to begin with, and Pretty sure it is gone cause Avg doesn't see it any more.

When a problem like this occurs with a more serious file type and I do not think that one you had was a serious one in xp there is an option to show hidden files & folders, and then you run scans.

In fact if you google "Show hidden files & folders in xp" Look around at the links that come up and you will find out how to do it then follow Randy's instruction and see if you see the folder (contentIE5).

In the mean time please don't worry, I would not let you go here If I thought there was a major problem...

Don't delete the (contentIE5) folder.

Look it is some sort of hidden folder.

THIS IS JUST INFORMATION DO NOT FOLLOW ANY INSTRUCTION HERE

"You will not be able to see the Content.IE5 folder associated
with your account in Windows Explorer.

There are two ways to access the folder.

1. Open your TIF folder, (TIF TEMPORY INTERNET FILES)
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURACCOUNT\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files.
Next, click in the Address bar at the top of the window so that
the address is highlighted. Hit the right arrow key to place
the cursor at the end of the folder path.
Type \Content.IE5 in the address bar and hit Enter. You should
now see the contents of that folder.

2. Go to Start -> Run and enter the folder path to Content.IE5
in the Open box.
Autocomplete should help you by presenting options you can
select using the down arrow. Add a backslash after you select a
folder.

Don't worry about this folder I found this info from a google search..
