Windows Vista & 7 "God Mode"

Hello, heres a little tip i just picked up from the internet and thought id share it with you all.

People have been calling this "God Mode" although its really just a handy control panel type program built into windows vista and windows 7 with alot more options at hand and its very easy to set up.

1) First, on your desktop, create a new folder (using the right mouse button and select new and folder from the menu)

2) rename the folder to this :

God Mode.(ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C)

and thats it, the icon for the folder will change to a control panel and once you access it you will have loads of handy options to tinker with.

Would't you know this forum software ruins the code it changes the brackets.

I read about God mode in several articles lately. Not really quite God like but a neat little Easter Egg. LOL

and yes GW will not allow those type brackets I noticed that a while back.

On the plus side, hemlocks have relatively shallow root systems. On the negative side, this is a big tree which will be very heavy to move. Best procedure is to cut around the roots in circle well away from the trunk with a sharp spade. Then use the spade to undercut the root ball working gradually around the circumference, prying upward a bit at a time as you go. This is going to be difficult near the foundation. Once the root ball is free, place a board under the root ball at an angle and slide the tree out of its hole and onto a heavy duty tarp. Use the tarp to slide the hemlock to its new location. Hemlocks respond well to cutting back. Even if they are topped, they will put out a new leader. A heavily cut back tree will take several years to again look presentable, though. Cutting back is not necessary and won't make any difference in the ease of reestablishment, anyway. Keeping it well watered all summer is the most important thing you can do.

How does one pick a favorite quote from D.H.Lawrence? There are quit a few. Hanslick, a music critic, a profession I don't understand. Art in whichever form, is such a personal preference and there is somebody who wants to tell you what you are supposed to feel. Kind of like telling you that you must like cilantro when it tastes like soap. Got to run, my puppies are going to get picked up by their owners. The location might get some more dogs, but unless they are real large dogs or pitbulls, others will take care of them. I got typecast, it seems.

I did not know however they have found a whole list of God modes LOL
Windows 7 has lots of 'GodModes' (exclusive)

I think I will leave my husbands laptop totally un God Like!
no telling what he would end up doing in there!(that I would have to try to fix) Plus it sounds like on some 64bit systems it can cause problems.

I just call mine "Consolidated Control Panel", but so far I haven't made use of it. I'm hoping it will make it easier for me to find things that Windows 7 seems to have hidden.
