1st attempt :)

Any tips on how to put image directly into the message? Tried several times & just couldn't get it. Thx

They look wonderful and so festive! You gals are really inspiring me to do some stacked plates of my own. : )

As for inserting a pic, just copy the HTML tag next to the pic you want to insert, then past into your message. You'll just see some code until you click on the preview message button. Then your pic will show up in the message. Here, I'll do one for you and you do the other one:

jrzgurl, your stacking plates came out great, love the scarecrow in with all the leaves, flowers and veggies, you tied in the theme quite well. Is the top pumpkin next to the scarecrow just washed out from the flash? I am assuming that that pumpkin is in the same color as the others, taking shots of the "sparkly" items is a real challenge, I have the same problem sometimes.

Kathleen, wash your mouth out with soap. We don't dare keep track of the money spent on stuff. LOL Mary Ruth, I never did any holiday decorating till I got on this Forum. I was shocked at first, then rapidly fell in love with it. I am obsessed with the stacked plates to decorate. Such a small thing with a big impact on a table, so easy to change and play with, and so much joy to look at it. For me anyway. I am really getting into this holiday decorating now and loving it. I am not sure any of us think of it as really "work", maybe a labor of love. Tho our two Jim's definitely labor to do their fabulous homes for the holidays. Those guys are incredible! But like us, they seem to have fun with it. Get rid of that "worry" for the BIG one, LOL, and join our gang. You won't regret it. hugs, Karen

DD, GO THERE. You will love them! Lot of fun for a small price, and so easy to change decor on whenever the mood or season or holiday hits. Guess my praying for Oct worked, LOL, we are getting a reprieve the end of the week. Going from 110 to 79 and chance of rain on Friday. WooooHooooo. That NEVER happens this time of year. VERY windy today, which I also like as I can sit here and listen to my many windchimes. I am so thrilled we are actually going to have a few more Spring days to enjoy. hugs, Karen

I started my Fall decorating today, and my cats were very interested. Three of them basically just look and do a sniff test on new stuff, LOL. Then there's Ty, aka BratCat. I learned last Xmas, when he kept taking ornaments off a tree, that if I let him keep one he'd leave the rest alone. So may have to let him have his own for Fall too. Will see. He occasionally takes something off my stacked plates that strikes his fancy. Have to admit, he makes decorating a bit of challenge at times. I will get pix of my stuff over the weekend. I made two florals with the faux pumpkins, one is a surprise for my DD. And I did a pumpkin totem for the fireplace hearth. Also got the front porch decorated a bit. hugs, Karen

bettyd, I think your arrangement looks wonderful! I've never tried stacked plates and hope my first attempt looks half as good. About your camera; I like the warm colors of the third picture best. When I got my first digital camera a couple years ago I would look at my finished pictures on the computer (kind of hard to see all the detail just on the camera's lcd). If I would take a shot like you did, several times in several different ways my computer would give me information when I ran the mouse over the thumbnail picture (such as flash or different icons for other settings I used). Hope I'm not confusing you. There are so many different brands of cameras out there. You have to figure out your own, but it is so much fun in the process. My friends laugh at me because I take pictures of everything! But then, when there's a "good" opportunity I feel like I have practised and am familiar with my camera.

That looks great! I think J means if the top pumpkin is white, try to put an orange one there to keep with the theme. Or maybe it is orange? LOL
I still haven't tried to do a stacked plate! Maybe for Christmas..yes, tis true, I am chicken!

The beaded pumpkins do not photograph well. I think that may be what the top one is and the reflection of the flash is making it look white in the picture.

All the other colors photographed so pretty. It is really pretty and festive, and the little scarecrow is a cute addition.

Oh, I thought it just looked white because of the flash from the camera. In that case you might think about changing it out for another orange one to stay with the same color theme you have going on the rest of the plates as mentioned above.

Everything else goes together very well and looks really lush and full. Know you will enjoy all the nice compliments you will get from friends and family. ;o)
