I really must get up my courage and try those plates. Bought them right after Christmas and haven't even opened the box.
I love the little bird's nest tucked in.

Kathleen, wash your mouth out with soap. We don't dare keep track of the money spent on stuff. LOL Mary Ruth, I never did any holiday decorating till I got on this Forum. I was shocked at first, then rapidly fell in love with it. I am obsessed with the stacked plates to decorate. Such a small thing with a big impact on a table, so easy to change and play with, and so much joy to look at it. For me anyway. I am really getting into this holiday decorating now and loving it. I am not sure any of us think of it as really "work", maybe a labor of love. Tho our two Jim's definitely labor to do their fabulous homes for the holidays. Those guys are incredible! But like us, they seem to have fun with it. Get rid of that "worry" for the BIG one, LOL, and join our gang. You won't regret it. hugs, Karen

Pattycakes, it's not too late, lots of other holidays that the stacked plate idea can be used for. You are right, Judith has a real flair for decorating and for finding just the perfect items to use. I can only hope to "come close" to creating something like hers. It sure is fun and interesting to try. And it's fun when I go shopping now because I look at things in a whole new way! LOL Sandi, I am so relieved about your silicone. You should be fine. I was so worried because I have used the silicone to make the "garden totems" like the ones on the Garden Junk forum--and those things are really stuck together! Of course it would not be a problem if you never intended to use the plates for anything else. However, storing them stacked could be a problem unless you have lots of storage space (I don't). Luvs

Karen, I love your faux pine tree with the whippets and rabbits. And that whippet angel is the perfect topper. The colors you used in the tree are so pretty. Betty, you really must get those plates unpacked and set up.
You will really have fun decorating them, especially for the Holidays. I can't even tell you how much joy I've gotten from having these on my kitchen table.

LOL, Jim, thanks for the laugh. And yes its's OFFICIALLY summer. Our first 100 degree day will be this weekend, and Monday will be 106. Please forgive me if I now start praying for the end of OCT. That's when the 100s end. My summers are like many of your winters, can't do anything outside. Good thing I have dishes to play with I guess.

Karen, your plates look so summer-y with all the bright colours. Sounds like you do have the weather for it though. I keep thinking about getting a set of those stacked plates but haven't gone there....yet!

DD, GO THERE. You will love them! Lot of fun for a small price, and so easy to change decor on whenever the mood or season or holiday hits.

Guess my praying for Oct worked, LOL, we are getting a reprieve the end of the week. Going from 110 to 79 and chance of rain on Friday. WooooHooooo. That NEVER happens this time of year. VERY windy today, which I also like as I can sit here and listen to my many windchimes.
I am so thrilled we are actually going to have a few more Spring days to enjoy.
