I am not getting any pop up ads at all..... Maybe you need to turn a pop-up blocker on your browser? Do you use IE or Netscape or another browser? All have the option of blocking pop-ups. Please find a way to eliminate the pop-ups, we don't want you to leave because of them. Take a look at the COmputer Help Forum, there are lots of possible solutions and if you don't see one that fits your particular set-up the folks there are really smart and happy to help! I just installed Spybot with the download file spybotsd160.exe. When Spybot loads, I see the following: -- Slugmeter labeled "Loading Spybot" -- "Legal stuff" message box: "If you remove advertisement robots with this program, you may not be allowed..." -- "Confirm" message box: "Spybot - Search & Destroy has detected that you have the following products installed: Lavasoft AdAware. This may cause incompatibilites; for more information, click Yes to visit our website, Ignore to no longer show this warning, or just Cancel." Here's the text from the website: "Compatibility: If you have the AdAware option to scan inside archives enabled, AdAware may find files in the Spybot-S&D folder. Spybot-S&D does not contain any spyware, but it creates backups of everything you fix (until you remove those backups from the Recovery list), and AdAware complains about these backups. Firefox firefox is a browser yes it is free you will use it instead of using Internet Explorer, simply install firefox and you can tell it to import all your bookmarks and settings from your Ie so it will all be there on the firefox also just like on your IE. then you will need to add the adblock plus add on Adblock Plus 1.1.1 click the add to firefox box once you have firefox installed then you will add the easylist filter EasyList Subscriptions you should add both of those to your adblock plus both easy list and easy list privacy.

I agree, but just for a moment. (the use of blockers) Those that are computer savvy, and have the instant ability to cary on by using apps so quickly, do have an advantage. My father is 86 and needs social media for stimulation and brain exercise. He is still brilliant but very frustrated. Every update is a struggle. Every visit i need to walk him through changes. And i can barely keep up. I don't like to think of our elders loosing connections via their computers, or getting more confused. (i'm on my husbands new air laptop right now, just days old, without problems.) My iPad i use at work, and for work, is touch sensitive. I speed read and just can't read posts with big sections of posts blocked. And i have add blockers but need to keep trying i suppose. I'm personally not at all put off as i know it will continue and needs to be accepted...I just have to support those here that are frustrated with it just wanting some social time, relaxing time... On an iPad it is a mess. Just a simple scroll, the page present jumps away instantly and hard to retrieve. As if these new pop-ups were designed for just that.
