forwarding a page- trouble

I have trouble forwarding a page to people. When I try to forward, I use the 'file' at the upper left- it then says 'send', then either 'send page', or 'send link'. I use the'send page'. About 80% of what I forward does not go through.

A friend uses the 'forward' that is on her Google Toolbar- but my Google Toolbar does not have it anywhere. There is a spot on the Google toolbar where you can add things, but forwad is not one of them.

How can I easily forward things?

Just to note, it is not my email that I have trouble with- it will be a page I see somewhere when surfing.

Its really not advisable to FWD anything because of different security issues. Why not Copy and Paste these pages instead

when I want to send a web page to somebody, I always send them a link to the page. That takes up less space in their email and also ensures that they get the full page. Also, copying and pasting may violate copyright and some sites disable text selection for that reason.

I wonder if the reason grandmas had such luck with houseplants is they didn't have central heating and most had sun porches. I'd really like a sun porch! For your peace lily, try putting it in the bathroom or right next to the kitchen sink so it gets a lot of humidity. It also needs a lot of light, granted, it'll live in little, it prefers a lot. You could also try a pebble tray. I used to grow mine on a pebble tray on top of my fish tank light. I also rooted a lot of hard to root plants up there. Maybe a heat mat with the tray on top of it would work, hmmm I need to go out and get a heat mat.

Hi, Carrie & Shore - we don't actually have a house yet, but we're working on it - saw a couple of good ones yesterday, but still want to do more looking. Carrie, I thought SC was nice for the brief 3 1/2 months I was there - but a better opportunity arose in AL, so off we went! I like AL too, though, so far - I'm pretty easy where I go, as long as I have a place to garden :). Shore, I'm not going anywhere for Christmas - my DD, whom we haven't seen since last Christmas, is flying over from "across the pond" on Christmas Eve - what a nice gift!

Roger that. Thanks Mike. Looking forward to getting to know you. I ordered some Foliage Pro the other day. I think I am going to bite the bullet, build a mix, replant and try to start over. I can't figure out if I love these geopots or have serious issues with them. They do allow for great drainage but the moisture they hold may prove to be excessive for my indoor environment. I was told they could put a 2 x 4 on our sheetrock and affix my base cabs to that to have deeper counters. That should work in your case too. You will need an extra 1"...

genes-I didn't know that sending a page could be a problem......How do you copy and paste- I have looked it up, but somehow I must be skipping a step, because it does not work. This is what I do: I click central/c, highlight the whole page, click on the body of the letter, then click central/v.

bpgreen-If sending a link is better, what happens when I want to send the whole page- pictures and text? How do you send a link? I use Yahoo mail, and there is supposed to be a place that says 'enrich text', but I don't see it.

Any others think forwarding is not good?

If you send the link, they click on the link and go directly to the page so they see the full page on the original site rather than in your email.

To send a link, go to the address bar in the browser and highlight the link. Then either right click and choose copy or press Ctl-C. Then in the email, either right click and choose paste or press Ctl-V.

Or, to send a link, Click on File/Click on Send link; an email page pops right up with the link already on it. No need to Copy/Paste.

At least that is how I do it.

sue-va This is where I am having trouble- I am doing exactly what you said, and only about 80% go through.

bpgreen- I think I was forgetting to highlite the address- I will try again.

I HOPE I have it now- I found a 'send it' in the Yahoo toolbar, so sent something to a friend, but won't know until this weekend when we usually talk to see if it went through.

General points on copy/paste (not just for web pages):
1) Highlight the section first.
2) Type control-C to copy (ctl or ctrl stands for control)
3) Click in the spot you want to put it.
4) Type control-V to paste.

You were copying before highlighting.
