trivial question #34, Back, Forward, tiny spot

Firefox (Recent, but very latest update not installed.)

I've a Back and Forward with big arrows. Then there, to the right of Forward, is a tiny spot; mouseover gives me "Recent pages".

Is there some way to make that tiny spot larger?

Probably, maybe here.. but not sure...

In the Address bar in firefox type "About:config"

I will experiment with it and see what I find...

you can change those buttons to look just like they did in firefox 2 if you would prefer.
I will provide you with some links you can research you will fine many tips and tricks you will likely find helpful.

that link will provide the help for your large buttons issue.

You know you can click on View then toolbars then customize and from the box that opens choose new icons to drag onto your bar or select small icons or many other options.

I'm excited about a lot of roses this Spring: I'm finally allowing myself to acquire Lady Hillingon...we'll see if there is enough heat for her here. Even if it's a failure, I'm going to try. Jenny Duval: I don't care if she has a terrible reputation for suckering- the color of the flowers is worth it, and maybe my clay soil will slow her down a little. I can't wait to see what my band of Gruss an Coburg does: it's putting out all kinds of new growth! In October, I rescued two beat up and abandoned 5-gallon pots of 'New Zealand'. The color and scent are lovely, and I think it's the kind of "Modern" hybrid tea that should make some people think twice about "no moderns" snobbery. I'm also VERY excited to see the Spring behavior of the 5-gallon plant of Zephirine Drouhin which I was given to me last summer. I've never grown her before, and I've read a lot of complaints about stingy re-bloom, but mine had flowers on it all through August, September and October. Basically, I'm just excited about all roses, all year long.

I also don't worry a lot about the occasional use of a fungicide in the home garden (compared to the vast quantities Agri-Business uses), but for the record, let me explain that when I encourage people to select more disease-resistant roses, I am not referring at all to "space hogs that bloom once per year." Those who want to grow the spring-only bloomers certainly enjoy certain advantages the rest of us do not have, but absolutely NONE of my roses fall into that category. Disease-resistant Austin roses like Queen of Sweden and Lady of Shalott and disease-resistant floribundas like Our Lady of Guadalupe and Eutin and even disease-resistant hyrbrid teas like Red Intuition and Elina go through at least 3-4 bloom cycles from spring through fall--probably more cycles in areas with milder temperatures than in my Zone 6. In fact, my Lady of Guadalupe only rests about a week or so between cycles and then starts blooming again very heavily. She repeats that pattern again later in the summer and during the fall also. She may be my heaviest bloomer in the entire garden and I do not spray her--because she does not need spraying. Kate

I'm looking forward to, but also nervous about, seeing all the Libertys I planted in my front landscaping last year. I lost one tree and took down another in a bed that was planted 30 years ago. Wasn't up to totally re-doing it, but wasn't happy with the shape or the flatness. Added a few rocks (the biggest my hand truck and I could move) and decided to add P.I.L.s (plants I love) and just go with it for now. In addition to hydrangeas and a magnolia, I think I ended up with about 20 Libertys planted in several "waves." It's going to be pretty bright out there in a few more weeks, so here's hoping they look OK. Thank goodness for a son who was working with a landscaper - got them wholesale. :-)

BB, I was just thinking of posting an update, so perfect timing. Yes the blasted post is gone baby gone! Here is the bathroom layout that ended up working the best after mocking up several different configuration. I actually will be able to fit up to a 48" vanity. The vanity and toilet bump back into the bedroom wall. Shower opposite with angled wall toward the entry to it. I am loving it! Ecko has already made herself at home on my couch mock up! This view is taken standing at front door. Here is the new bathroom layout. That line in front of vanity and toilet is that header beam above. I'm thinking about a flat ceiling with soft lighting over that area. But on bedroom side, that wall will go straight up to the angled ceiling. TV is going there. Not quite centered to bed, but good enough. Still a lot to do, but we are thrilled with everything. Everyone who sees it wants to move in! Thank you my GW fam! Pretty soon, I will be asking for finishes help!

albert, if you click that dot a drop down menu appears so you can select and revisit the site again.

Although the dot itself is small, the button that it is on is nearly the same size as the left and right arrows so positioning the mouse pointer isn't quite as critical as it first appears.

I rather doubt that you will be able to change the size of the dot without delving into Firefox's actual programme coding to find and then change the button's icon. I had a quick look and could not see anything obvious - but I am no expert in this area.

(I think the down arrow at Word and Excel has a much more 'natural look and feel' than does the tiny speck in Firefox but as I noted in the subject line this is trivial.)
