Here is my table for Tablescape Thurs with the polka dot fabric I got for 2.00. It is really nice and thick fabric!

Kathleen...this is just such a delightful table! ...& your prose is such a cute gift for your blogging friends. You've certainly had fun with Halloween t'scaping ...using B&W polka dot linens just makes one SMILE! Dishes are beautiful....stemware & glass w/skeltons fit the holiday spirit! TFS! Love it all! Hi y'all, Tracy,Heidi,Annie,cAROL,Alana and Mr. Dan the man! I hate that some of you are feeling crudy,Oh the winter. I'm waiting and lurking to see if my ghoulish monster will say somthing about itself that would help me fill it's box. But as fate would have noone is saying a whole lot. I'm having a sicko weekend, I was driving home about 7:30 yesterday and just as I came around this huge lake I fell asleep at the wheel and and crashed into someones huge brick mail box and trashed their yard aaaand trashed out my beautiful van which I always try to park blocks away from everybody so I don't get any dings. WeLLLL I trashed the passenger side real good. I was ok but did I feel sick to my stomach. Can you imagine falling asleep at wheel in heavy trafic??? I was so lucky that no one got hurt. I will be sending my box on Monday To my ghoulish secret friend. Look for your box to reach you about Wednesday. HAHAHA everybody will be checking their mail,including me LOL LOts of hugs and smiles Carmen

I can see Emily is really enjoying herself this Halloween. She did such a cute job on that centerpiece. Very original! I can see her being a member of our group here. lol I love all the birds you purchased. They're beautifully detailed. What a great find with that pinecone dish. Also, all your purchases at GW..I love the shape of those blue footed glasses.. Great price too. That hurts with your white serving dish. What luck to find another. They're very pretty. I would definitely epoxy the broken one and use it for something that's not liquid. I can't resist pretty napkins and you bought some pretty ones. Halloween party for 2 year olds

I've been searching for Halloween crafts for my son that just turned 2. We made salt dough (1c flour, 1c salt, 1/2 c water - just stir and squish) yesterday in various Halloween colored. I squeezed the black and green through a garlic press. He enjoyed squishing the "worms" back together. I left some of the dough white and any odd shaped white thing could be stood up and eyes added to look like a ghost. I cut an orange circle out and various yellow shapes out of construction paper for him to make a jack-o-lantern. I helped a bit with the glue stick, and let him decide where the eyes and such would go. You would laugh out loud if you saw the awkward pumpkin that was created, it's just too cute. We used traces of his feet for ghosts w/ the toes at the bottom and his hand prints for bat wings and spider legs. All out of constuction paper w/ different shapes cut for the bodies and heads. The Family Fun website has lots of ideas w/ an option of searching with the "craft finder" for a holiday and age of the crafter. Next we are going to try egg carton pumpkins and spiders (with legs made from pipe cleaners). Have fun!

I save ALL your tables in a digital scrapbook on my computer. I'm with Jeanne on this one. It does make a person smile. For some reason, I don't think about polka dots when making or purchasing linens, but I always like them when I see them on a table - I mean I REALLY like them. So why don't I have any polka dot napkins????? I'm going to have to make a little note to myself concerning this.

I love the idea of a black and white table at any time of the year, but I think this color combination looks especially nice in October (and New Year's Eve). Your patterned plates and the Pier One chargers are great. Sort of jealous about those.

AND, a clever idea using the butter dishes as mini cloches. I've got that idea LOCKED in my brain for future use.

You always create such wonderful tables that I am running out of words to compliment them.

Clever rhyme, and I like that it is spooky w/o being gruesome.

Great buy on the fabric!!

Thank you, OA. I don't have any polka dot cloths, but when I saw this roll in the outlet it called me over. There was almost 3 yds but it was the end of the roll, so he said 2 bucks! I was dotty with happiness. I mean this stuff has some weight to it!
I have 6 of those chargers,, pre blogging days. I forget how much, but I want to say around 3 bucks? Pier 1 had a great sale and I found a lot of stuff that day, but never since! I guess it was just luck! Keep in mind that after Labor Day it is pretty empty here and Pier 1 is not exactly crowded!

Thank you, Candy. From what I have seen you have many more talents than just setting tables. I can't paint to save my life. Crafting and painting, 2 diff things.

Kathleen, love this table with polka dots. The witches hats are so neat. I've never seen any like that but they really caught my eye and the skeletons in the glasses and butter dishes are so cute.

Always love seeing your tables.

I looked yesterday, but only now getting to comment. Love the way you used the black on the table and the reverse dots on the napkins, very striking contract. Those cute little butter dishes are so darn cute--what a great idea to tuck a skeleton in there! Very pretty and yet fun too. Luvs
