I've been to the craft fairs in Northern Arkansas a couple of times, once in the Spring and once in the Fall. I think the Fall one was my favorite. My brother and SIL used to always go twice a year and tell me about it, so one year I flew back to join them. I had never seen anything like it--not just one location, but multiple locations all within a few miles of each other! Huge tents set up out in what looked like a pasture and each one just full of wonderful creations. One place was an old mill with a water wheel and then more tents set up outside,another place was Applegate or something like that and there was a barn full of crafts as well as more set up all on the outside. Fantastic food too--kettle corn, bloomin onions, etc. We had a ball going to all of the sites for two days but I thought my feet were going to fall off from all the walking! Even the mall and the Walmart parking lot was full of craft and food tents! Fantastic! And it is such a pretty area with all the hills and trees and water--loved it! ;o)

We've got a couple of craft fairs coming up this month. One is at the OC fairgrounds, and another one will be local--both will just be one big building, but I love the atmosphere and seeing all the creations.

After seeing your goodies and reading Luvs post I want to go there. I would love to have a craft fair that would take days to see all of it.

Luvs, War Eagle is the crafts show with the gristmill and your right it can take days to see it all. Bettyd, it wasn't warm enough to swim in the waterfall, the air was a little bit crisp (upper 60's), we usually camp hear in the fall, maybe we need to try summer. Phonegirl, we were camped (camper) in a state park and it was a short hike to the waterfall. A lot of people do not realize how beautiful Arkansas is (It's the natural state). I haven't found a place for my treasures from the craft fair yet, I may take them to my office, it could use a little frou-frouing.

Yes, War Eagle sounds familar and the other place was Apple Gate I think. And the Walmart headquarters with the circus tents full of crafts was at Bentonville, right? It's been awhile, but it was so fun and my brother and SIL got such a kick out of seeing how excited I was at each place we stopped. I still have most of the things I bought there! I even bought a tee shirt that said "I love to craft". LOL It is a beautiful state and I'd sure love to go back for the craft fairs again sometime. Luvs

That waterfall, is spectacular. We lived in extreme N.E. Arkansas for about a year and a half. Maybe the only spot in the whole state that wasn't picturesque, but it was close to the Ozarks and all that beautiful scenery. - Gail
