Drats - just got back from Walgreens after checking out their Fall stuff but didn't look at their candles because I have so many. Will definitly check them out the next time - I love the vanilla scent for fall and winter - thanks for the tip......

I went, I saw, I purchased!!! They do have all SORTS of patriot candles...20oz. and smaller as well AND, they were on sale! I bought the lavendar scent....I am not big on food flavors, but love lavendar. I'll let you know tomorrow if it is as good!

Jaybird, please let me know how they smell, as I went to our Walgreens & they didn't have any that said "richly scented" sorry, it wasn't "highly scented" just checked my candle again.

I wonder if it will make a huge difference in the scent in the house?

I am going to hit a different Walgreens tomorrow & see if they have any that say "richly scented" on the label.

I hope it wasn't a "one time thing", as it is really great as far as doing the whole house, so please let me know if yours has a lot of scent.

Yes, they are on sale, ours were 3/$24.OO not bad compared to Yankee, if they all scent like this one I have.

I LOVE candles and would love to get the kind you are talking about as I too like the whole house to be filled with the scent. Unfortunately, we don't have a Walgreens here (not sure they are even in Canada?) but will have to see if someplace sells Patriot candles. I still purchase the Partylite votives as I think they burn well and have lots of scent however they are pricey when you add in shipping and handling.

Ohhhh, lavender and then vanilla are my favorite scents for candles. But so far hadn't found any that smell as good as Yankee which are so pricey. I get one or two every Xmas.
So I am definitely going to check out Walgreens this week and see if they have those.

Karen, for the price, give them a try. Like I said, the one I have says on the label, RICHLY SCENTED, so don't know if it doesn't say that if they will scent the whole house.

Jaybird will let us know, but I may buy 3 tomorrow anyway for the price of $8 each!

Weeelllllllll, mine didn't say "richly scented", and as far as I can tell, it wasn't! I burned it for the recommended 3 hours last evening, and you could sort of smell it in the kitchen where it was burning. In the next room over...all open in my house....you couldn't smell it at all. The next time I go there, I will look for the richly scented lable.

Anytime I see the word "candles", I just have to check it out!lol I work in a candle shop here in where I live. The lady that started it, started out in her kitchen (as a hobby) and within a couple of months she had to rent and move into a building. A year or so later, she had to move into a much bigger building (where we are now) and the business is booming! We ship candles all over the US and have a few burning in Iraq! We also do wholesale and fundraisers for groups/Churches/Schools,Etc.!!

I was at a craft sale a few years ago and came across candles that I wasn't familiar with . I purchased for me and as a gift and absolutely love them . Much better than Yankee and Partylite although I do think it is a party plan type company . If any one wants to know the name of the company feel free to email me privately . Think I will go thru my stash and find a fall smelling candle for today.:)

I found a place to email Walgreens & sent it off last Friday, so I will see what they say about the 'richly scented' line of their candles & I will let everyone know.

Ok, I went to Walgreens online site & put "jar candles" in search. They only had two different scents "in stock" in the "richly scented", so do not know if they are discontinuing them or if they are just out of stock.

Tried to order the one they had "in stock" and it wouldn't take my order, so guess they are discontinued!!! RATS!

WoooooHoooooo, stopped in a little Walgreens that I never go to and they HAVE the candles. There were quite a few on the shelves, but I double-checked and not all said "richly scented". They had a lavender one for me tho, and that's is what I really wanted. Its burning now and I'm "feeling it". LOL.

I will stop by Walgreens tomorrow and see if I find any. Yankee candles just don't seem to smell anymore on most scents. I have found that you can't go by price to get a nice scented candle. Someone mentioned to me last year about a vanilla one in Walmart for $1.00. It smelled wonderful and a few months later I didn't see them any more.

I have to stop by Walgreen's tonight to pick up a prescription; hope I don't forget about the highly scented candles and go to the drive through instead! I was put off of Walgreen candles for the last couple of years. A few years ago I bought a bunch of votives and not one of them would light! The wick burned down to nothing so I threw the wax in to a bag I keep stashed for bonfires (too much hassle to ask for a refund on cheap votives). But if yachter recommends these, I'll try 'em. I love vanilla bean, too!

Karen, you are so lucky to find a "richly scented" one, our Walgreens don't seem to have them & I did contact them from their site & didn't hear a thing back yet.

Am thinking they discontinued the Richly Scented (why I have no clue) it's always that way, find something you like & they discontinue it!

I am going to write them again, not happy!!!

Neesie, I hope you get lucky & find them too. Most of the Walgreens here are pretty new stores, so I doubt they would have any left-over stock of those if they are discontinued.

I found them! Richly scented, in apple vanilla. I hadn't seen this combination of scent before, and it really smells nice! They also had it in lavendar, and some other combination of vanilla. They were $7.99 for a big fat jar (I'm not home now so I don't remember if it's 20 oz or not). I started to stock up on them, in case they will be discontinued, but decided to stick with the amount of cash I had in my purse. This is a sort of new Walgrens; I guess it's a little over a year old.
