Comments (3)I think pre-made laminate counters can be had quite cheaply. Looked it up, Lowe's website has a 6 foot laminate ready to install for $67. YOu'd have to cut the hole for the sink though. Still has to be easier than buying supplies and tools and attempting it yourself, and maybe messing up...I'm sure they could tell you what to cut it with. You can rent the proper saw if you need to (from them or rental places)Depot's site didn't list any, but I know they have them. Also, try Craigslist.com , you might get lucky! http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=142966-1110-4724116L&lpage=none Here is a link that might be useful: counters...See Morewhite bathroom vanities
Comments (3)Have you thought about stripping them and staining them? I gel stained my bathroom vanities. But I had to strip two doors because I had tested paint colors on them. You probably have a lot more paint on your doors than mine did though. There is also someone who had red painted kitchen cabinets and gel stained right over the red paint. http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/decor/msg0212371330160.html Also people on craigslist are always trying to get rid of their bathroom vanities. You can usually get them really cheap and start over with a new process. Another option could be to repaint the base cabinets and take off some of the doors and replace with really high quality wood baskets. That might be pretty too....See MoreWhite on White bathroom vanity?
Comments (19)Thanks for everyone's advice. I'm going to go to the granite fabricator on Thursday. The person I spoke to on the phone warned me that they don't have a lot of quartz remnants and that they get snatched up fairly quickly when they do, so I will have a look around at the granites as well. I know I won't find all white granite, but maybe something will tickle my fancy. I now have a new problem. The person I spoke to at the fabricator is concerned about the narrowness of the vanity. It's only 17.5 in. deep, the current top is 18 in. deep. She said between the backsplash and the faucet hole cut outs, that I will only have 12.75 in for my desired undermount sink. As you see, right now it's a drop in. I don't want to do a drop in with real stone, so I have been scouring the internet for small undermount sinks. I posted this question on the bathroom forum, but do any of you have any experience with either of these sinks or any other sinks for a narrow vanity? Comments (5)I'd do a gray grout. it will hold up better. if you want something lighter for the shower, try Mapei Warm Gray. have you thought about doing a warm wood vanity? with all of that gray, it will look rather 'cold' without something to give it some warmth. I love this warm gray oak one w/your tiles do a marble counter, or a white or gray quartz. if you don't want wood, then go for a black vanity. Or maybe this midnight blue one In fact, try looking at some of the wood vanities. Restoration Hardware. Black would look great too. I have marble in my bathroom and did black from RH or they have a metal wrap vanity if you want something more modern, try this white one...See More- 10 years ago
