some Fall decor photos, finally

I did my Fall decorating the weekend of the 21st but just didn't get the photos taken to share till now. Mostly things look pretty much the same as last year, just some minor changes. I'm not feeling very creative, so easier to go with previous ideas than come up with new ones. I took a lot of photos so will do in several posts. Its quite obvious how much I like rabbit and (my dog breed) Whippet collectibles. They are EVERYWHERE !!!

coffee table in family-room....naturally Jazz aka Trouble had to survey things. (wish the flash hadn't glared in his eyes, they are such a pretty gold color like his fur!!)

Love seeing your rabbits & dogs...and with the Fall
decorations added - they look very festive.
Laughing at Jazz...he blends right in with the
decorations on your table. If we didn't know he was real.
.he could pass for one of your 'lifelike' collectables! lol

Nice to see you back at decorating again.

This is what I had in mind for use on my patio/breezeway area for the Spring/Summer months. I found an old Baker's rack at Habitat resale store for only $25, which was a steal but we didn't have the truck with us, nor do we have storage for it until we can use it, so I didn't buy it. I know I'm probably going to kick myself over and over for not buying it. Come Summertime, I'm hiring a handyman to make me some more storage cabinets for my seed sowing supplies, my husband's power tools, and some other things. Hopefully I will have more room to store stuff then. I also wanted to use it like you did but also be able to add some small potted plants in the Spring/Summer months.

Karen, You missed your calling, you should have been an interrier designer. You decs are absolutely beautiful. I too love the little squirrels, they look so real. You seem to have the knack for knowing just what to put together. I have taken a terrible head cold today, and just feel lousy, so I hadn't been on my computer until just a little while ago, so I am behind on posts. You said you wished you had my will power about not buying Christmas decs. Believe me, it is not will power, it is already having more than I can possibly use. There was years that I couldn't pass up Christmas decorations, at ys, ts or after Christmas sales. Every year when I start getting things out, I find things that I don't even remember buyung. Durring the month of Nov. my time is usurally spent in the wreath barn (remember, we live in Christmas Tree Country) and I always try to make enough money to do all my Christmas shopping making wreaths. I started doing this yrs ago when my kids were small, and I needed the extra money really badly at Christmas.When they all grew up and moved out, making wreaths had just became such a tradition, that one year I didn't make any and it really didnt seem like Christmas. I usurally make a few hundred wreaths from the last of Oct to the 2nd week in Dec. I gues thats one reson that I never worried much about Halloween or Thanksgiving decorations. I usurally have all my ks and gk here for Thanksgiving Thursday and then right back to the barn an Fri.I really don't know hardly how I am going to do it this year, what with babysitting DGS, but on of my DGDs says she will help me with him. Guess time will tell... I also enjoy your albums; you do so much to keep this forum interesting. Janet

Betty, I found the little candleholder at GW last Fall. And DD, the plate you like was at Marshalls then too. I don't do much collecting on the dog stuff anymore. I've been collecting it for over 30 yrs now. Just occasionally I see a piece I really 'need'. LOL. I have to work on controlling my rabbits tho, no room for me to get to get really carried away like with the whippets and my Trail of Painted Pony collections. I just like too much STUFF, and always have. Even as a child, I loved collections. Thanks for the nice compliments on my house. Lynne, Country/Victorian is what I call my decor too. The country part is mostly items I've kept from my more country/primitive past, and the victorian part comes from my love of all things lace,roses,ribbons,pastels,etc. All my furniture is oak which is sort of out of style now--but I still love it and no way I will be replacing a whole housefull of furniture! Magpie, I forgot to comment about you collecting cattails from the drainage ditches. I don't see them out here, but when we travel and I see them, I always want to stop and get some--but I'm afraid of two things. There might be a snake just hiding in that ditch or I might slip and fall in! LOL Lynn, I love our cardinal on the acorn. I think I will spray some clear gloss sealer on mine to make him look more ceramic. Karen, didn't you say you did that with yours? OA, that's my favorite pumpkin. The leaf has sort of a metalic looking glaze on it. Did you recognize the acorn guy in the gold cloche? He came from one of our craft shows too. Glad you "enabled" me to get the new little squirrel with the acorn candle holder even though he was that resin instead of ceramic--he's cute! Luvs

I'm so glad to see Jazz in one of these Fall posts of yours...I was wondering why he wasn't helping out this year! ;-)

All your bunnies, rabbits & whippets are just so amazing in your decor...I love how you tie 'animals' into each holiday season. That corner shelf w/the diff bunnies in motion is wonderful! & having your whippet 'watching' them!

Love the corner table where you used a quilt square for the linens ~~ relaxing bunnies look happy there, too!

Everything is beautiful, PM...enjoy the season now for awhile ... & then you'll just need to add some 'turkeys' for Thanksgiving decor! ~~hugs, Jeanne ...& as far as being creative, why change out what you created so beautiful before!!! You rock, girl!

Thanks, you guys make me feel really good about my decorating. Glad you like the way I color-coordinated my cat with it too. LOL.

Yep Jeanne, turkey stuff will be coming out after Halloween.
The quilt table square on the corner table, and also the one on the coffee table, were Etsy finds one year. I love them. Lady did all holidays with her quilt table designs.
The coffee table one is reversible, has a Xmas pattern on the other side.....dark green with TINY red cardinals all over it.

Everything looks so pretty, I especially like the rabbit nibbling at the plant .

Of course I enjoy the pretty fall dÃÂ©cor but couldn't help notice all the nice bunnies too. Really love the two on the corner table, they are so pretty and a bit unique. Your lifesize whippet statues are always amazing too. Everything looks really nice.
