We just moved to Arizona from Washington. I would never have tried to grow tomatoes out doors prior to moving here. I have two Early Girls with flowers and green tomatoes in the ground now, and have been covering them to protect them from the rain. Do I need to be doing this? Also.....same with zuchini. Do I need to continue covering these guys as well? I only cover when it gets below 35 degrees. I have never had a problem with the rain and do not cover them. The humidity in the air keeps the temperature up enough below freezing during this rain right now. So I do not cover my plants. i don't think that it will hurt them if you keep them covered though.

Hi all, I took my grandmother to the Top of the Falls restaurant today for her birthday. So I was back at the brink again! It is a very pretty view of the falls from the restaurant. Char, I'm glad you like the poems. Shirley, One of the most beautiful things I ever experienced was driving at dawn through the Blue Ridge mountains in the Virgina/North Carolina area. I drive through there every year on my way to Key Largo, but one year we went later than normal. The Red Buds and white flowering shrubs were in bloom. It was absolutely gorgeous! Klickitat, I didn't realize it was your first veggie garden! That is exciting. The veggies taste so good. Gary made some fried eggplant from the garden yesterday. It was so yummy. Maryanne, You got some nice shots. The butterfly came out so good. And you did go on the balloon! I give you a lot of credit. You would never get me on that thing! OK, this morning the snow was pretty, now the wind kicked back up and is turning the snow into little tiny frozen missiles. Frances, please order the storms to come with 50 degree temperatures! Please? Pretty Please? Becki, it wasn't too bad last night. We were all snuggled up under blankets in the living room by the fire. That storm was pretty wicked. I can see exactly why you were so concerned about Dave driving home in all that. The winds were blowing my van around today when I drove Dan to school, I can't imagine driving a bigger truck through that. We have a few more days of this and then the Alberta Clipper is coming to visit!

Hi Linda, The Christmas Graphics you want are right in your hands-computer that you are typing on. Type in "Christmas Graphics" in the web broswer line on the menu bar at the top of your screen (it's the long white rectanular box you see) then hit the Go button. I bet you'll get pages and pages of web sites to look for what you want. You'll be able to purchase them on-line and quickly download them or you'll find an area to type in your name/address, etc. and a CD will be sent to you. All you do with a CD is: When your computer comes up, go to the "upload CD's" program (whatever yours is called), or more than likely you bring up your computer (start it) and then pop the CD into the CD drive on your hardrive and it will upload instantly or tell you what buttons to push to upload it. It's easy and yes, you can do it. If your computer says, "no CD found" just eject it and try the other CD drivc on your computer (mine has two). My sis did the Christmas glass blocks also, just as you explained above using the ribbon only, no graphics. I just thought of this though, you could buy those window stick-em's/peels off decorations and stick them on the glass block as they are like suncatchers and the lights will light them up. Enjoy.
