GreenieBeanie, I tried the .Mac service and was actually very disappointed in it - but that is a completely personal observation here. On June 18th I instead registered the domain name http://www.myblogpix.com (aptly named) and use it for hosting all my blog pix on my blogs (I maintain three blogs at present). For $11.95 a month I have 2 Gig's of storage, 25 Gigs a month in transfer allocated, and can have up to 25 email addresses that will hold 2 Gigs each. It works for me. I love iPhoto too BTW. It has been my primary means of keeping my photos organized on my Mac. Since I moved to Louisiana on March 15th of this year I've taken over 2,200 photos! Yes, that's a lot, but I figure a digital camera is such a wonderful thing and years from now the photos will still be in pristine condition - no fading, cracking or crumbling. And of course - I make regular backups to DVD to insure I never have to worry about losing my precious photo collection. A few days ago I started writing a Mac Software blog. I plan to add a brief review and link regularly to some kind of useful Mac application I run across. While some may be commercial (shareware) I am planning to try and cover only freeware applications as a rule of thumb. I'm finding my passion for gardening and my passion for computing work so well together it's as though that's how it all was meant to be from the get-go. I am Borg. You will be assimilated... Resolve Problems Transferring Pictures If you are having problems transferring pictures from your camera, dock, printer, or card reader, try the suggestions below. § All devices. Make sure all batteries are fresh. Make sure all cables are securely connected. § Camera. If an error message indicates that no pictures are on the camera, make sure it is turned on. § Camera dock or printer dock. Remove the camera from the dock, then securely replace it. Press the dock Transfer button. § Photo printer. If printing starts but doesn't complete, press the Transfer button on the printer. § Card reader. Use only one slot at a time in a multiple-slot card reader § EasyShare software. Make sure the Kodak icon is in the lower-right corner of the desktop. If not, choose Start ® Programs or All Programs ® Kodak ® Kodak EasyShare ® Kodak EasyShare software. If EasyShare software doesn't open and display the transferred pictures, do the following: 1. Right-click the Kodak icon in the lower-right corner of the desktop. 2. Select Open and click the Add Pictures icon. 3. Select your device from the Select a location list. If the problem persists, visit www.kodak.com/go/easysharesupport. Hope you are able to resolve your problem. I went to help, then chose transfer pictures. then went to the bottom of that page and chose Resolve problems transfering pictures. That is how I found the information above. thirdfrt!!!

It's possible that the file is too large for your machine. You might try the same process but save a file that is small enough to have plenty of room in your largest hoop and see if the machine recognozes the design.

What I use: Simple easy cheap: Lowe's paint software ($5 - $7) BenMoore software: I paid $15 I think but have seen coupons in magazines around holidays to it free. Pittsburg Paints makes a nice program too, that runs around $10 (lots of color choices). If you learn how to use one, you can use any. All allow you to import your own photos. (Using software at website you have to use their sample rooms photos.) Brand doesn't really matter, because none are exact to real life swatches. What it does do is help rule out what does/does not work and get you headed in the right direction. Makes selections so much easier!
