I have this same problem. I can't keep up with it because my neighbors are shooting off fireworks everyday the WHOLE summer. I have to vacuum daily. Any suggestions??

Schoolhouse, could you go early evening, sit in the car in the area and still see them? We have done that. Waiting until 9 pm or so makes a long day. I don’t find them particularly interesting after decades of attending firework shows, but other family members do and the kids of course. I would be happy to stay home. There was a loud show near our home last night. I was glad when it was over. The dog was not scared, just puzzled. Lgmd, I hear you, but that’s a battle we cannot win! (Remember I’m in charge of environment and recycling on the KT.) However there are a lot worse forms of pollution than one night of fireworks.

I don't even use the sparklers unless it is on a birthday cake.... my father was against fireworks except if it was done by professionals. He and my mother shot off a couple of firecrackers when their first 4th of July after being married. The firecracker took off and ended up in the barn full of hay. They had to run into the barn and start pulling bales out to make sure that the barn did NOT catch of fire.... so when my brother and I came along he was ALREADY against having them.... plus when growing up we had lots of droughts and the pastures were EXTREMELY brown. We had several grass fires from people driving by and dropping cigarettes.... so anything that could cause a fire he was against.... Can't say that I blame him, and it made be think about what I might do .... would it .... could it cause problems for others.

Fireworks are highly regulated and dangerous to make, and China, where they were invented, has long been the only country with the skill and infrastructure to produce them at scale. (US) tariff bonanza threatens the U.S. industry, forcing importers to scour the world for cheaper fireworks because the levies are making those from China so expensive. Right now, the U.S. imposes a 30 percent tariff on Chinese imports, down from 145 percent a couple of months ago.
