I have found that this problem occurs because the carriage is in the wrong place. Use the following steps. Turn off the printer. open the door. If the carriage holding the cartridges does not rest at the proper place Ie where you can get the cartridges out then slide the cartridges to the correct place. Now shut the door and fire up the printer. You should not be asked to align

One used to hear a good deal more about fasting and deprivation in the Roman Catholic variety of Christendom than in many of the Protestant churches. I refill our cannon cartridges (clear), they are easy to refill. Never refilled the HP ones(black)...has anyone had success refilling those? I love HP but they are exspensive. I understand why with the new print head each time. I should check our staples to see if there is a discount for returned cartridges.
