Setting up posed pictures

Is there a site that shows you different ways to pose people for pictures? My grandson will be graduating next spring and I would like ideas of backgrounds and ways for him to stand or sit, etc. Of course, he wants one with his car!! These will be outdoor pictures.

Hosta picture taking - how do you set up the shot?

Well,I was a photographer before I ever saw a hosta,and the best light is what is called "cloudy bright" In other words no direct sun,as that just washes out,and overexposes the shot. In my garden,after 1pm is best,because that's when the garden is in dappled shade. Up north,the sun is far less brilliant,and so better shots. Others may have a different take,but that's what works for me. I also shoot with a digital SLR,with interchangable lenses. Phil

For me, everything I put in my house has to have some meaning for me, and I hope this has meaning for you, but for me it does not strike a chord. A beautiful painting, something that is art and not just some print that they offer in five different sizes, would give color and movement to this area, with something at each side of the console to hide the cord. A wider piece of furniture would have looked nicer there and hidden the cords, but I'm sure some solution could be devised to hide them.

Thank you for all your comments and suggestions. We are now leaning towards leaving the fireplace but expanding the casements as wide as we possible can on either side of the fireplace. We have about 83 inches on each side; however taking into account trim, I think we would be safe with 78 inches of space for windows. Thoughts on having 3 casements (one opening and 2 fixed) all the same size or two casements (one opening and one fixed) the same size or 2 casements with the opening one being smaller than the fixed one? Thoughts?
