Setting up a drip irrigation kit for the first time

I finally took the plunge and bought a drip irrigation kit from Amazon. I wanted a kit because I am SO BAD at doing this sort of thing and I wanted the pictures in the instructions that illustrate how to do it, what parts go where, etc. I am completely ignorant of the terminology used to describe watering systems, plumbing, etc. To put it scientificly in techno language, I need pictures that show where the thing-ummy-bob hooks up to the watcha-ma-draggit-doogie,lol.Also it was essential to know that the kit was designed for using with rain-water-collecting tanks, i.e., was meant for gravity-only water pressure.

I'm going to have to set it up soon, and know already that I will probably need a new length of normal hose, slightly larger in diameter to the standard size,in order to reach my water tanks, plus relative connecting joint(s), so I will be doing a trial set-up in order to determine exactly what will be needed to adapt the kit to my tanks.

So, if anyone has any tips or tricks for the utterly ignorant ,I'd be delighted to hear them!
