Installing a mirror in a shower - Two Way
Comments (7)You can see the back side of the Roma steamer in the first picture. It is just that black metal plate. The wall mount Roma steamer was to fill this wall cavity but when we demoed we found the wall to be doubled up and it offered over 14" of inside measurements. The steamer unit blocks the view into the bathroom from the walk in closet. The TV drops in from the top through a 10" x 16" access panel and the TV needs to be dropped by your finger tips into a custom L bracket channel I designed that pins it tight at the bottom. With the access panel off you cansee the monitor clear as day. With help from the other side we slide it side to side until perfect. We are using a piece of scrap drywall to pin the TV at the top until I can mill a proper stop. The affect of the text is surreal. The client has written poetry in Caligraphy script and in German as well and because the software fades the pictures and text in - and because the monitor is a good 1 1/8" back from the back side of the mirror it has this "Ghost Like" appearance. The text fades in from deep violet and blue and slowly fades out bright orange and amber. So So Cool! You have never seen anything like it! - I've not, until now....See MoreCan I peek at your bathroom lighting?

Comments (165)Hey feisty! Long time no see. What great progress you've made. And, yours is not the longest reno for a small kitchen. I'm right there w/ you, still! Don't start a new thread. Keep this one going so everyone can see the progress over time. I love love the tile! I actually chose blue like that for my backsplash. However, I haven't put mine up! So, as you can see, your reno is no longer than mine! I was moving along & doing well & then I brought it to a complete halt about 8 months ago. I'm now thinking about tearing my whole house down & building 2 on my lot! Keep one for me & sell the other. I'm still not sure if I'm going to do it, but I hate to put anymore $ into the kitchen, & whole house for that matter, if I'm going to knock it down. Still iffy on doing it, but am thinking seriously about it. We'll see. You have come a long way & it looks great. I think you should do the tile. I don't think it's going to be trendy & date the kitchen down the road. I thought the brass was going to be trendy, but it's still going strong. Go w/ what you like! I can't wait to see more!...See Morethe night before cabinet install ... sneak peek
Comments (14)Thanks for all the kind words. Breezy: note to self, crop creepy shadows out of future photos ;) Might post some more progress photos when there's more to see. Or maybe I should wait 'til it's all done (?February if I'm lucky!) kellienoelle: no more red surprises at this point, but maybe a roman shade over that window that's showing if I can find the same red in a pre made one or a fabric to make my own. I'm a bit sad I didn't do my laundry room (just off the kitchen) in the same red ... but no going back now! athensmomof3: the wall colour is colour matched to ICI paint "wood smoke". Colour being as fickle as it is, it's showing a bit lighter in this photo than usual. But for my and DH's taste it was the perfect grey with slight green undertones. brianadarnell: I was second guessing my choice to do 5 piece for the top drawers for a while after ordering. But I'm so glad I chose them over the slab front now that they're here! It's door style "firefox" from Norcraft. Countertop will be soapstone "anastacia" from M.Tex - dark when oiled with moody green bits and some cool white veining (templating tomorrow!). It's in the same photo bucket album as the above photos, but here it is for your viewing pleasure:...See Moreenduring
