Bona Swedish Hardwood Cleaner
Comments (18)FWIW, we just moved into new construction, and have a LOT of Brazilian Cherry floors. With two dogs, a two year old, and the "punch-list" people in and out, it was getting very dirty very quickly. I tried water on a microfiber mop, and it was only ok. Finally called the store where we bought the wood (duh!). They (and other places I researched on the web) said not to use water for regular cleaning. They like the Bruce hardwood cleaner, or similar, with a microfiber mop. Having researched similar cleaners, I got the Bona today - and it's amazing how well it cleaned. The new microfiber mops are great, too - 8x15", so can cover more territory more quickly. The store said to only use the cleaner every week or two; in between, you can swiffer/microfiber mop/vacuum dry, and spot clean as needed. FWIW, the big microfiber mops are now at Lowe's and Home Depot - about $15 for a mop and one cover; about $5 for replacement covers. They're on wood poles, though - so may not be as nice as the aluminum ones. Be aware that the big ones are a little hard to use when using the cleaner though - so if that's an issue, get a smaller one. Emily...See MoreBona Users Please Help
Comments (1)I've bought Bona Kemi cleaner and refresher thru their web site. The cleaner comes in a spray bottle, the refresher in just a bottle. I use the microfibre mop they sell for applying the refresher. Wet the mop head cover, wring it out, then pour the liquid refresher on it. The cleaner I just spray then wipe the floor with a microfibre cloth. I bought them 5 or 6 in a pack at my local grocery store. The cleaner dies an excellent job. Thje refresher is so-so. It does inpart a shine to my floors, which are natural oak finished with polyurethane. So I'm actually cleaning and shining the polyurethane finish....See MoreHow do I remove ParetoLogic Security Control?
Comments (4)John you are not alone in downloading these wannabe programs. I am amazed at how many people download any security type program without first assuring the program does what it reports and is not in fact rogueware. Don't take that as a personal attack please but you offer a window here to warn lurkers about these dangers. There are just too many rogue programs purporting to be the real thing and capable of creating minor miracles no less when in fact they simply want your money. Read the interesting thread linked below from Wilders Security. I had read about this company a couple of years ago, they are located in British Columbia, Canada. Before trying to remove you will need to stop the program if it is running or you will never succeed in removal. To remove it you might try using Windows Explorer Right click on the Start button and click Explore. Look down the left side and click on 'Program files' causing the sub folders to drop down below. Now look down through these sub folders to find the file where your problem program is installed. Be sure you have the right one before moving on. You will no doubt need to expand this folder also and start by removing the sub folders now showing in the right side of your screen. If you succeed in the removal I suggest you run Crap Cleaner to remove any remnants left over from this dirty removal process. Let us know how you go John please. Comments (4)Update: DH, after squeezing the trigger on the spray bottle about a bazillion times, finally got the thing to work. Called the guy at True Value HW and he said that they have had some problems with the sprayers, offered to exchange it but then it started working. Now...how do we refill it?! Might just have to use a generic spray bottle for that....See Morechristinemk
