Ordering appliances ASAP/Question fo Bosch Slide-in Range owners

We are ready to order our appliances- had finally settled on the Bosch Dual-Fuel Slide in Range (HDI7282U). However, when I stopped in the appliance store to kick the tires some more and get the order started, I realized that the top of the oven door frame is made of black PLASTIC! On one model (a 700 series free-standing dual fuel, the part was even cracked and broken.)

I love the features of the range, and am ready to pull the plug, but something doesn't feel right about spending over $2k on a range with partial plastic construction in a critical area (which I can imagine being hit by pans, cracking, etc.)

Can anyone who owns this oven check to see if their current model has the plastic top of the oven door frame? Even if you don't own the oven, if you have a good reason why that part might be made of plastic, can you share?

Is this a dealbreaker (like a "chicken nugget" button?) or am I just looking for a reason to second-guess my choice?

Thanks!
