Comments (17)BKT. It may have water stagnent from testing at th factory which MAY give a smell brand new out of the box, but a single cycle should clear Venting or draining - that is NOT a DW problem. You need to obviously make sure it's tied to the waste tee (preferably with a high loop), but if you have poor drainage or vent issues in your PLUMBING system for that kitchen sink waste tee or however you are tying in the DW drain line, than that must be addressed However, said 2 issues are not a dishwasher issue per se, but a plumbing DWV design flaw/issue....See MoreGreat timing, our 10-year-old dishwasher stops working
Comments (98)I just ordered the middle one because the local chain Queen City has 8 of them in store and can install this week on Friday. The first one at Lowe's, although it says in stock, it's not really at the store, but in a regional warehouse, so it has to come in and then it gets on the list to be installed. The person at my local Lowe's said the website is not real time on what is available, and calling another store would not make a difference because they all use the same warehouse. Also, for the first one at Queen City, it would be another two weeks because it's not in the store. I know we don't know what day it is, but it is the Memorial Day weekend next weekend and potential for things to get further delayed until early June. So, I'm going with the simplest option here. Your “crud” behind the faucet may have nothing to do with the dishwasher. It could be the wet dripping hands constantly using the faucet handle, and that water getting into the caulked joint behind the faucet....See More- 16 years ago
