I get a 4 pack at Target in theri cleaning aisle. I can't remember how much it cost but I remember thinking that it wasn't that expensive considering I could wash and reuse them. They have one for windows, one for dusting, one kitchen or bath and one for polishing. All microfiber, but different textures to help in each specific cleaning setting.

I buy an 8 pack at Walmart (in automotive section) for $4.95. I generally do not shop at that store, but for items such as this they can not be beat.

I order mine online at the site below. They are $9 for 20 cloths which are 16"x16". I like these rags a lot as they are heavy duty and very soft. Much, much better than the ones you get at BBB. I know they might cost a little more than Walmart or whatever because of shipping, but I think they are worth it.

Thanks for all the options. Socks, I noticed bluejean said she buys the specific cloths for the specific jobs. What jobs do you complete with the ones you buy? I still can't get use to the idea that all it takes is water to clean something. What about a grease mess? Would you even use the cloth for that? Surely you couldn't clean grease up with just water, could you? Thanks again for all the information, I appreciate it.

I bought 24 large 16x16 at Costco for $8.29. It was the best price I found.

I use the cloths to dry the shower after I'm finished, wash the kitchen floor, I've used them to wash my face, wipe down patio furniture, wipe off the front door, anything you need a cloth for. You can dust with them dry. I don't know about cleaning a grease mess, like the top of the stove. Probably would work, but you'd need some 409 or something like that I think.

You can also try a store like AutoZone. The cheap ones are fine for general household cleaning.
Some things to keep in mind:
Clean rags before first use to remove lint.
Clean rags with dish soap, but rinse with a bit of vinegar to remove soap residue.
Or machine wash with detergent without fabric softener & Always air dry.
Surfaces that you donÂt want scratched use a dedicated rag (or new) i.e. TV screen.

I got two different kinds at costco. I'm not careful about what I use them for. They both seem to work equally well for just about anything. I also got a package of 24 or 25 terry cloth washclothes for 9 or 10 doolars. I use them for dish clothes and any thing else I happen to see and then throw them in the laundry. I honestly think I could by with them alone but I use the microfiber dish towels if anybody else is in the kitchen so I don't look as tacky as I am.

I use the yellow automotive ones from Costco. They are GREAT for dusting.

Costco here too - the yellow ones. Recently I noticed though they had some other more fashionable dishtowel type microfiber cloths that I think I'd like to try instead of my old dishtowels.

I use the "Solutions" one off the internet. I don't know if they are cheaper but they are great!

Ditto Costco. I have about 50 (!) of them, and as I use them, I just throw them in a laundry basket until I have enough of them to do a dedicated load. I use them for all my dry dusting. I use them to clean the bathroom floor (our bathroom is so tiny that it's just easier to use a microfiber cloth to "sweep" rather than a vacuum). As for using them wet, I spray a natural all-purpose cleaner on the stove and then wipe with a microfiber cloth--it takes nasty residues right off. Ditto for mirrors and glass tables and anything else that needs polishing, like our coffee carafe and stainless trash can.

I LOVE them! Can you tell? :)

I have the Sam's Club ones. They're blue & larger than the ones at Wal-Mart. I generally use them attached to my Swiffer for dusting the floor or I dampen them & use them for damp mopping. I have some smaller ones from the automotive aisle at Wal-Wart that I use for dusting. They both work fine.

What Xantippe said, I keep a seperate laundry basket for my Costco MF cloths because you cannot wash them using fabric softener. Fabric softer will cause a waxy buildup on microfiber and they won't work as well at "grabbing" dirt.
