I am starting to think Christmas but sorry no table runner ideals. I do mostly ornaments. I have posted very few BUT get GOBS of ideals from all or you. Only bad thing is that I can't find the time to keep checking the system and try them all. I do have a few of my grandparents chenille bedspreads and think I will make all 6 of us grandkids & the 2 kids a snowman out of them. Gotta get started. Have been trying the plastic bag holders. I'm in the same boat with needing ideas!!

I thought I was immune to computer crashes..... and well, I didn't learn the first time either!!!

Fortunately I didn't always think that way and saved some of the ideas I got from here on a handfull of floppys. But of course none of the ideas I WANT to do are there!!!

I will look through my disks and see if there are any decent projects that I can post.

well, I think I still have boxes of christmas crafts in the back of my van from the last christmas show I did in december....can I count that as being ready for this year?
Needless to say, thats all I have ready for this year so far LOL!!!

One ornament I did a couple years ago for co-workers and friends was a snowman from a pack of gum. I used the white pack and wrap it in freezer paper either one or two times to hide writing. Use pom-poms for the ear muffs (I used the sparkly ones with the matching color of pipe cleaner) and put a pipe cleaner from ear to ear. (under pom-poms) Put 2 dots for eyes, paint a carrot nose and about 5 dots for the mouth. Use a scrap piece of material for the scarf. Tie it around the pack and glue the ends in position. Everyone seemed to love them and they were simple. Hope these instructions are helpful if anyone trys it! Lana

No, I don't need a pattern, but thanx. I do most any craft, I paint, sew, crochet, don't knit, I pretty much dabble in it all!

you guys, I have a book of easy ornaments. I'm starting, this is the best time to start projects and re read Christmas Mags for idea. Also stop and read a Christmas story of two. Relax and enjoy what you never have time for in the fall!!!

I'm going to do padded fabric covered wooden clothers hangers for all of my engineers(guys) & other co-workers( mostly (gals) this year (Total of about 30) . Already started getting the wooden hangers & some of the material as I find it as I'd thought of using print that represents their interest/hobby, like golf, sailing, fishing, cars/racing,etc. for those I know & just a basic print for those I don't know.
Need to get started cutting the fabric, etc. out for ones I already have!
I'm also want to make some of the Santa Hat chair covers with print seat covers..have everything except the foam cushions/pads.

I made a kissing ball by decoupaging cutouts from Christmas cards and decoupaging them to 4 CDs. I made a little tab out of chipboard (a bracket) to glue the CDs together in a square. A fifth CD had a Christmas Poke (or whatever you call them) that I took apart and glued them on. This was the top. Oh, I glued a button in the hole and strung ribbon through it to create a hanger. A 6th CD (the bottom) has a red bow on it and I want to get some Mistletoe to add to make it a true kissing ball.

When this thread first started on July 9th, Christmas was far from my mind! Isn't it amazing what a difference a few weeks can make! Now with school getting ready to start and even the weather guys on tv talking about cool fronts coming to Texas!?? Christmas seems right around the corner!
I hope that this forum will be hopping with ideas like it has in years past!

I'm thinking about making the little ones pillows and making pillowcases with wild trim for the bigger kids. Might even make them for the couples using their interests as the theme in the fabric. I have to keep postage and shipping in mind so can't get too big or heavy. I usually come up with some kind of ornament about 3 weeks before Christmas that I decided to make for everyone. Last year I made oodles of the yarn angels and am keeping an eye out for what to make this year.
