#3 DD playing Wii (?) game with my oldest DGS Nick, then #2 DGS Nathan, and DD's son Tanner setting on the sofa.

Mom 82 yrs-oldest and Lily 4 days-youngest guests at sisters.

Niece Heather and her DD Leah, at my sisters house on Christmas Eve.

Heather's DH Gary, (Lt. Commander) who returned from being on ship (mine sweeper I think)in October, and their son Little Gary.

That Opuntia had LARGE pads ( a foot across with few spines)when I first got it. It was laying on the side of a road in McAllen Teas-- there was a large pile someone tossed so I got a piece of it. No telling if it was a local native or an old cultivated species. A friend said it might be what they call the "Old Mexico" variety. These Yuccas are fast growers this far south. I really can't remember if they are supposed to be Y gloriosa or another southern coastal type with soft floppy leaves. David

nodakgal, you're right about their age. They turned 3 on the 23rd. Steph, the power is in the foot pedal and there is a stick shift for changing from reverse to forward (2 speeds). There is also an FM radio and dash lights and a voice that says "back up" when they touch something in front of them. After they backup a little bit the voice will tell them to go forward. LOL They are really cute. Oh yes, they also have seat belts.

Mass is at 4:30 for us. I am ill hearing about "sing along" services. We really have lost our way. When my MIL was alive we would go with them to the Children's play~ her churches excuse for a Christmas service. Have we really forgotten we need to Thank and Praise HIM for all our blessings, particularly today!!

The guitar heros went over just fine. They didn't even use it yesterday, they were into the Wii games. The DD playing got, it for the son who was setting on the sofa on the left. DD's DH's parents have the Wii system and they've always loved playing that at Mammaw and Papaw's, so they got themselves (the kids) one for Christmas. LOL Big kids.
Well, SIL and his Dad play golf all the time. DD get hot when she sends DH over to his folks to pick up some folding chairs or something, and it takes 2 hours to go 1 mile and back.
I love the picture of my Mom and Lily too. Full circle.

Nice family pictures. The difference between men and boys is the price of the toys...that used to be so true, but today the price is about the same for both!

Linda, so true. Dad and kids can play together at home, in the winter when it's cold snowy here. I've heard they're putting these Wii game things in nursing homes, so the folks can use them as a way to get active and get some exercise. Great idea I think.

Great photos, Leslie, and you're right- our moms could really keep us in stitches and on our toes. Yours looks really fun and nice, and I think that baby likes her!

I agree, nursing homes would have so much fun with a wii.
We haven't gotten grandma on the wii but she did play the Guitar hero this spring, those pictures are priceless! She was a rocken mama for a while. Only thing,, I would want a tamer version of Guitar Hero. Maybe some country too!

DGS (will be 12 in May)has the GH 3 now. I gave him that one. And DGD (will be 11 next month) I got her the 80's one. They're in different families, so they can trade, or play together. Both are Play Stations.
