Frigidaire Dryer Knob

happs

I recently purchased a very rarely used 7 year old Frigidaire Dryer that was used about one month a year by a winter visitor. In the first month that I've owned it, the "start" button that you turn clockwise to start the dryer broke. I've read that this is a common problem and that in order to not have the knob crack again, you have you glue the plastic hole with an epoxy material and vise, which I don't have. How often do these knobs break because I'm wondering if I should order some replacement buttons in bulk to get a shipping discount?
