Playing A Little This Morning

I got up early so decided to put out a few decorations for the 4th. Since it seems to be slowing down on here thought I'd share a few pictures with all of you.

I painted the USA sign years ago and never got mine put together. DD has had hers I finished for ever. I couldn't find my gold thread this morning so the stars can dangle in between so just put them on the ends for now. Maybe I'll find the thread later and finish this project. Do I sound like any of you?LOL Made the oak birdhouse several years ago.

I will take the flag and USA sign out and put it on my grapevine wreath on the deck. Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th and I will try to get back as often as I can in between visiting with company for 2 weeks. I'm so excited to take time off from work and enjoy life a little.

Everything looks so festive. I love the Uncle Sam candlesticks (?). But I think the U.S.A. is my favorite, and I like the stars on the end. I'm so glad you get some time off and I hope you enjoy your company.

Gosh, I really love those Sammy candlesticks. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a pair of those. I love EVERYTHING that smacks of July 4th.

So sorry to hear that Wendy. I've been watching the weather reports from across Canada and your province has undoubtedly been deluged with rain this summer as have our friends in the north eastern states, but for some reason, we've had a decent summer here. Usually we get what both those regions dish out. I hope things perk-up so that you can enjoy some of the late bloomers face to face and not just looking down at them. :O) PS. I planted all of your red Lupines except for one which I kept in a pot. It bloomed - RED. So you did send reds after all. :O)

Caroline...I've been playing the Pogo one...Pogo is my favorite game place.... But for some reason, lately I keep getting cut off...it keeps telling me I've lost connection with my server. Oh, so sorry. Poor fingers! Poor YOU! Glad you could sleep. Ask your pharmacist for a Probiotic. Most will do. Better than yogurt, and yes, Kefir is better than yogurt, too. It's simple to just swallow the antibiotic, then the probiotic a bit later. This keeps me from 'the runs'.

I love it all too, and especially the Sam candlesticks! The framed picture of the little girl and her red kite is adorable. Its so neat you can make your own wonderful decorations! Better than store-bought IMO.

Have a blast with your company and lots of fun time.

Very festive, punk! I also luv the Sam candlesticks but the little girl print with the kite called to me right away & then in the next pic I saw the additional print....those are SWEET!!! Look great with your 4th of July decor! TFS! Enjoy, enjoy your time off! Jeanne S.

Punk, it all looks wonderful. Did you paint the Uncle Sam's? They are fantastic. Love your USA and the flag over on the other counter too. That print of the little girl is precious, and I like the summery design on your old time seeds bin too. Very fun--your company will love it! So glad you are taking a little time off from work--you need some R&R time to slow down a bit and just relax. Luvs

Frou, the Uncle Sam's aren't candle sticks, they are just decorations. So glad you like the USA with the stars on the ends. I plan to hang them on a wrought iron hanger out on the deck.

OA, glad you like the US's too and everything for the 4th of July.

Karen, you really pickup on homemade things. The framed prints are by Sean Aherne and I just love his art.

I plan to take a few days off next week and will try my best to enjoy our company.

Luvs, I bought the U Sam's. I'm not surprised you picked up on the little catch all with seeds and garden things on it. It was at the mall a few years ago and I couldn't resist.

First company will be in tomorrow and I have to work late to sell some customers smart phones that are driving up from Williston, ND. I let my help off to enjoy a long weekend so maybe I will have dinner cooked when I get home.LOL

The others will be flying in to Spokane on Sat. So will have a house full when they arrive. I plan to take off next Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri. I'm already feeling a little guily about taking time off but plan to have everyone here for the 4th so I'm sure I'll be ready after that.

Punk, I looked up that artist and saw his other work. Tho the little girl with the kite is still my favorite! I saw one of her after she released the kite, and a cute little boy playing in the sand. He has some adorable cats and pigs too. Thanks for the info.

Oak, I bought a piece of thin molding from HD and used the GE Silicone II (clear) to attach it to the tiles on my counter. I made it for a plate rail. And love it since I'm a plate addict. LOL. Its easy to remove with a razor blade too.
