I'm glad it helped you. I've had years of this RA, and have had to improvise many times. I also have problems with getting cold in the winter. My feet will cramp up when they get cold, and the hot wet towel is what I use for them. Sometimes, I just get so cold all over, I get into the bathtub, with the water as I can take it, and a big beach towel ... soak the towel in the hot water, and cover myself with it like a hot wet blanket.

Just took the dogs for their spring bath

I tried to get my dog a bath just before Easter, but the groomer was completely booked. So Molly is a little shaggy and dirty (and her breath smells). I'll get her an appontment this week. Soory your dogs are big and hard to handle, Bigack. When I got my dog, I insisted on a Terrier size. Not a toy dog, but small enough I can dominate her if needed. Last week, Molly was brave and chased off an "intruder". A salesman came to my door just as I was starting dinner. I told him go away, he said "I have important news about your phone" and asked when he could come back. I told him an hour. We ate dinner and were in the bedroom watching TV when he returned. Little Molly charged the door and barked at him. She got a lot of praise and slept in our bed that night.

At one time I rented a hovel with an ancient hot water heater. The unit was in the kitchen and always felt hot, but it barely produced any hot water. After lots of complaining a plumber finally showed up and drained it. The thing was filled with muck/dirt/sand. No idea why. No idea how long it had been in there or why it was not coming out through the faucet and eventually clearing. The bottom of the hotwater heater had inches and inches of settlement of some sort which took up space that should have been occupied by hot water. It also apparently acted as an insulator or something and soaked up the heat - preventing the incoming water from getting very hot after the initial hot water had been used up. Not sure if that is the problem or if it is related. But I know silt or whatever they call it (sediment?) in the tank can play havoc with it.. That tank was supposed to be around 20 years old - an ancient square - washing-machine looking thing. Good luck. I hope you find your problem.

I think it looks GREAT! I do agree with elpaso that the décor above the wardrobes look too small to scale. I think the negative, empty space there is best. Anything in the right scale/size might actually be too overpowering. What is below the towel rope? A standard radiator? Is it not a fire hazard to leave a dry towel hanging on/over the radiator like that? It will look great, with crisp white rope. I'd probably secure it a bit more taut.

That's great gopintos..I have bath envy. :) DH keeps telling me I can use my tub any time, I am waiting till the house is done and we actually move in... about another month.

seriously though, it was sooooooooooo nice. We are done enough that we could start moving in. Kitchen isnt finished, but I hardly cook, so I won't miss it for a little while. We are finishing the lower level, but I can live without that too. And some porch and outside stuff.

It is everything I had hoped it would be. So to everyone that is about ready to pull your hair out, it will be worth it :-)

I hope to pull a few more things together and then post some current pictures and update my webpage.

we have another 2 weeks and can't wait to enjoy the new bathrooms compared to the crappy apartment we're in. Our kitchen is barely even started, but we're just gonna kinda rough it for a month or two

Congratulations! I could take a bath in my soaking tub any time I want, as long as I haul buckets to fill the tub from the other bathroom (at least the drain is in)! I hope to have the master bath finished before we've been here 3 yrs...a sink in the powder room would be nice too!

I know what you mean. My husband is that way too, but he has shared the webpage as much if not more than I have. His children live in Kansas and North Dakota, so it has been a way to keep them up to date.

Downstairs is almost drywalled. I will try to venture down there tomorrow or Monday. I was going to clean down there Monday so I might wait and take pictures then.

I did add a few new pics this evening. Keep in mind, I have no decorating sense and even fewer decorator dollars left haha. I do have a few items to add to the walls, etc but I just cant bring myself to put a hole in the wall, so researching my options. Some of the stuff is rather heavy so just not sure about what to do yet.
