Hi everyone...sorry I've been MIA for a couple of weeks.

Our dear neice passed away on Mother's Day and it's been hard on all of us, especially her two young daughters...

I'll be lurking for awile until I'm ready to join in again.

I just wanted to let you

know that I haven't forgotten you..my dear sweet friends.

Oh Jane, I'm terribly sorry to hear this. Her loss on Mother's Day is going to make it all the more difficult for her daughters I'm sure.

Hey, girl, good to hear from you! I admire your bravery on the orchid. With the great advice I know is available on GW, the actual caring for it is no longer intimidating to me, but I have yet to see one that looks like it could make the trip home. They just look SOOOO fragile and delicate. I'd say the hard part's over for you, especially since you were already NOT killing the one you had before. Good luck!

Those Association fees and their rules can be a bit much, and that's why we didn't buy property like that ourselves. As I age, I am very leery of anything that would add unnecessary costs as I become more elderly. So glad to get your update, as I think of you guys often, and hope the bumpy road will be much smoother soon. So exciting to think of building a new house! You can include features that you didn't have before, etc. And a brand spankin' new kitchen ..... I would love that! Mine needs remodeled now but I refuse to borrow the money to have it done. Eventually I'll figure out a way, even if I have to go back to work part time to pay for it. When I had the money to do it 10 years ago, I put the money into my yard and garden instead ...... imagine that LOL. Betonklotz, Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately I am losing that sunroom! The new home is bright but I won't have a place for the plants with that much sun until I decide what type of hobby greenhouse I'm putting in. Maybe a year or two. Until then I have to put lights in the basement for most of my plants. My plant hobby will be deminished in size for a couple of years... :( poor me!

Jane, I have missed you and so sorry to hear of this sad loss on such a special day for her daughters. This touches my heart in more ways than I can say. I'm in tears for all of you.

So glad you posted, I've been missing you too and wondering why we weren't hearing from you. You sure have had too much tough stuff to deal with these last few months, so sorry for all your heartaches. Wish there were something we could do or say to make you feel better, just know that our thoughts and prayers are with you--and we'll look forward to when you feel like joining in here again. How tragic! I'm so sorry for your family's loss, Jane. My heart goes out to her two daughters. I've been MIA myself lately, but try to get back every few days to see how everyone is doing. Now that Emily's school year has finished up and so has her concert season, I'll be back more often now, too.

I just wanted to thank you for all your kind and caring words...
You are all so awesome and are always so supportive..
that's why it's such a joy to be part of this group.

As soon as I'm able...I'll be looking forward to joining in again...in the meantime, I'll still be here 'lurking'..I could never be gone from all of you completely! lol

I have been missing myself for a while so I am late to respond to your post.

I am so sorry to hear about your niece. I am sure its very hard on your family especially since she has two little daughters. My prayers are with you and her girls.

Thank you for letting us know. What a sad thing for everyone in the family--it is especially devestating when one is taken at a young age when needed so much...

I am sure you will fill some holes for this family as best you can and expect you will have a tremendous impact on the recovery of these little girls. Hopefully their impact on you will help you recover from this shock as well.

We'll be happy when you're back--you are missed!
