I have to say, I think my favorite is that big gold finial-like thing tho. What a neat piece to decorate with. Since lid comes off, must be some type of candy dish? The little hurricanes in the picture with it are wonderful too. So pretty!

Karen, Please do come on over and Shop with me. I didn't tell you but my Real Deal was I bought our DGD a Brand New cute pink COACH purse with heart and scarf on it for $15. I did have to TALK to get this deal but DGD batted those cute little eyes and it was a deal. I also bought DD another one for $40.

This was at an estate sale. The kids had inherited this beautiful place on the river of the Big Flats. Only the wealthy can afford to live there. They had a bar set up and was well on their way. My only wish was we would of made this our 1st stop instead of the last.

I will take a picture of my 3' Santa wreath later and repost for you. I need to go plant some garden.

I'm so sorry you didn't find much. Must have been a disappointing outing. I'm not the least bit jealous. No, sir. Not me.

I didn't see one thing that you purchased that appealed to me. Well, maybe the candlesticks looked like I MIGHT like them.

And yes, the penguin looked pretty cool. But, hey, you can't use him till next winter. So nanny, nanny, nanny.

Of course, the canisters would look nice on our outside patio bar. Oh, so what.

I do have a small collection of crystal glass candle holders and your round ones would fit right in, but who cares.

And then there's the apple napkin rings that would match the plates I got on eBay perfectly! Still, I probably wouldn't like them if I saw them in real life.

You know candlesticks are my weakness (even though once I buy them, I rarely use them...lol) and I love the ice bucket.
Not sure what the gold thing is either but I'm envisioning it standing as it is surrounded by some beautiful greenery and candles at Christmas time.

I saw a penguin tablescape on someones blog this past winter & it was all silvers used, it was very pretty.

Our sales started this past weekend, but I really didn't find anything that appealed to me. The better sales are still to come. The few things I liked, were way overpriced
for the way our economy is, so I said NO NO!

If things are over priced you should pass them up. Sometimes if you talk with the sellers they just offer things at a lower price or say make an offer and you don't have to say a word.

Here is one of the little apple dishes I got on Ebay. They're sort of butter plate size.
I put it with a dinner and salad plate to give you an idea of its dimension. Wouldn't one of your apple
napkin rings, threaded with a bright napkin, look good sitting on the white plates?
Now you can see why I didn't care for your new rings at all. HA.

Wow, Wow, Wow I don't know where to start. The first thing is the amazing prices you paid. My favorite is the penguin shaker (since I have art deco in my family room). Next I like the gold thingy, really pretty. And I can't resist pink roses on anything, lovely plates. You are so smart to think ahead with all the pretty Christmas things. Can't wait to see what you do with all the pretties.

Punk, you are quite right about OA and I getting along--in fact, instead of fighting over something, we'd be more apt to be saying "Oh,you take it" and "Oh no, you go right ahead"! ;o) I was just trying to tease you a bit! LOL

That's neat that you thought of me when you found the rose plates--however, I have some that are either the same or very close to that same design! Also have a little canister too. I've used them in a tablescape before but probably can't find it since Photobucket has made it harder for me to look at my older pics.

I totally heart the rose plates and all of the Christmas items. My DH seems to think I have enough Christmas decor, DUH, silly DH.
Of course, since my kitchen decor has apples in it, the napkin rings would also be very appropriate.

I love your new rose plates! They have a wonderful vintage Cottage-y look to them. I'm drooling over your new ice bucket, too! That "gold thing" looks like one of the Mercury Glass pieces that Marshalls was selling a while back. They had them in silver, gold and a rose color. I bought this piece there. The lid comes off, but I can't imagine storing anything in there. It's just a nice conversation piece for my buffet. I'll be anxious to see how you use yours.

punk...well, you don't have to twist my arm about YS'ing or GS'ing either! My car doesn't have a bit of trouble stopping at those yard signs! The big church one we went to last Fri., I limited myself but scored!...candlestick (which I know now I can't force myself to paint white! It's solid walnut)...so will use as is! LOL! Let's see...got sugar & creamer(Metlox) with green ivy on it, brass little mouse with curved tail in the air (he called to me), box of used craft paints & glitters, 3 hardcover pic books, box of photo cards, 3 ft. turned wood column ($4, believe it or not!)...ahhhh, I could go on & on! I'm in the garden mode,too, right now & lovin' it! But I'll be using some of this good "stuff" yet on this forum!

punk...I did take this pic of the Metlox Poppytrail sugar & creamer that I bought for $1 each...added them to the buffet. Flash makes them look brighter than what they are. And I'll post more pics for ya as I use my finds...some are for GJ (garden junk)!
