More Val Vignette & Ice Fall Update
Comments (12)Thanks for your comments & good wishes, holiday-ers. candy & punk...those silver birds I got 2 of of "new" while Christmas shopping ...I thought they were so unique because of one wing lifted for a napkin..kind of pricey but I've used them alot already! (& had 20% off coupon)...LOL! luvs...I'll have hot chocolate...thank you! Boy, I've been Iowa winters all my life...I just wasn't paying attention & yup, so fast! jane...the book is "kind of" old...1984 Merrimack Pblsh Corp, NY No. 40509 Printed in Hong Kong. Now 1984 doesn't seem old to me...but, yup, that's 27 yrs ago! Ugh! Here's what the inside looks like ...it's a 12 pg book: punk...glad you're getting out your DM's tea set, too. This is quite a diff look for my decor ...but I am enjoying it...hope I can find ways to use it in other holiday vignettes. jane..the polish is "Hagerty Silversmiths' polish with R-22 Tarnish Preventative"...I bought it at a hardware store...blue bottle. And thanks all you other gals...I will take it slow...but my typing has improved immensely & it's good exercise for that hand! DH & I hit a couple TS's today after I did a little volunteer work...& yesterday, too...guess what? I found some things! Can you believe it! (& maybe some dishes!!!) Will share later. LOL! Comments (13)OMGosh, Jeanne, you really hit a jackpot....I think you just gave Candy a run for her Bargain Queen title. LOL. At least for one round. So MANY wonderful things that I hardly know where to start. But the big Santa in the first photo really is fabulous. I'd have gladly paid a LOT more for him. The little Elf reading the book is just darling, and perfect for you. But all the elves are cute and the little fairy girl too. I'm so glad Dollbaby now has her very own cloche. You'll have to find her some miniatures to put in it. I have to applaud your restraint, coming home with only two boxes. I shudder to think of the load I'd have bought, and no place to put any of it. The only restraint I have is to NOT GO shopping in the first place. LOL. You did good, Girl. And should be grinning all week over it. hugs, Karen...See MoreFall Apple Vignettes 9.10 (pic heavy)
Comments (14)Ahhh, thank you holiday-ers! I've been seeing all the decor going on here & wanted to do a little Fall stuff myself! Vacation was great, thanks everyone! OA, Candy, Jane...I planted apple gourds one season & 4 of them grew! Let them dry over winter & then painted 3 & DH drilled a hole for a bright red birdhouse that hangs in the pine trees in my Secret Garden...it's still there (3 summers now!) Karen, punk, Jane & luvs...my Mom would be very happy to know that I am now obsessed with Dollbaby! Thanks to all you "Enablers R Us" I change her duds & high chair tray quite frequently! Thanks for your sweet comments! I did get her another $2 TS jumper (red & white checked) with tiny apples on it...in the wash now...another time. LOL! First day of Fall is coming up this week...Wed., Sept. 22nd! (smartypants here, I Googled it!) ...so will be adding more. Thanks for your comments! Jeanne S. Comments (10)Thank you, Holiday-ers, for commenting ... it is fun to be able to share & get ideas on this forum with so many friends...lynnec, thanks for the compliment. punk ... I had one pine tree & then bought another after Christmas at a specialty consignment store (love that place) when it was marked down 50% & the one that looks like a pine cone I got thrift shopping @after Christmas sales, too. Still working at it...have a good weekend, Holiday-ers! Jeanne S....See Moreyachter123
