bill vincent -seal polished marble hex tile?

my tile guy is finishing up his installation of polished calacatta marble hex tile on my bathroom floor. per my instructions, after reading these forums, he used unsanded grout. he's a young kid, actually my sons friend, and he does do this as his profession. he is willing to please and takes pride in his work. the floors look beautiful. he told me he installed butterscotch marble in his own bathroom and did't seal it. he told me he'd seal it if i really want it sealed. so i'm asking you...do you think it should be sealed, and if so what product should i use? the grout has to be sealed regardless, right? what should he use for that? i would like you to educate me on this matter 'cause god knows i know nothing about this kind of stuff. i feel kinda bad double checking everything but the floor cost a lot and would like it to last.
