Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good morning! Hope you're all wearing some green and a big ol' smile on this lovely day!

Everyone can be a bit "Irish" on this day. Just wear your green so you won't get "pinched", look for the four leaf clover for luck, and try to catch a leprechaun so he'll have to give you the "pot o gold". ;o)

May all the special Irish blessings be your's.

mimi, I've never had this recipe fail, because you mix the flour and sugar to break up any lumps, then whisk in the milk before you put the pan on the heat. The 'pudding' is smooth as silk, even before you add the butter. Make sure you keep the heat low, after the paste starts to thicken, so you don't scorch it. I've even started adding the butter to the still-warm paste, whipping it in until it melts, then refrigerating the mixture until cool, and whipping it up later. It doesn't seem to affect the texture of the frosting, and it's quicker than mixing in one spoonful of the paste at a time. I've noticed, though, that the cooked buttercream seems to get soft quicker from the heat from my hands. Good luck!

Happy Saint Patrick's! My son indulged my Celtic heritage. We listened to my music and he let me drink and sing loudly to Mollie Malone, Lord of the Dance, Isle of Hope/Isle of Tears... Great Day to you all! What a wonderful holiday.

I have included my first try at stacking jars and cake plates to make a centerpiece. Not very many choices of Patty's Day decorations locally but just wait until next year...internet here I come!

Anyway, it was fun and if it should make you smile then I have suceeded!

Belle You succeeded your lovely display made me smile!!

And I had a wonderful blessing of a beautiful sunny day!!! After three days of rain. (which we desparately needed!)

Great job. I didn't do any decorating this time. Didn't find any Green I liked. Spent too much "green" on other things this month!!!

The sun finally peeked out here this afternoon. I haven't fussed too much about the rain. I almost killed myself working in the yard last week before the rain started. DH said I needed the break to recover. He was right!! As soon as the ground dries up I'm back at it. Would rather work in the yard than eat when I'm hungry. (Need to quit eating for a while! Too much winter spread!)

Bright, no matter how much we need the rain, it's always nice to have a break and enjoy the sun.

Betty, I teased DH this morning by telling him "just maybe I want to be pinched!" We went for a corned beef sandwich for lunch. I too need to find things to do instead of eating--really need to lose a few pounds. Just had blood tests and doctor says my numbers are too high! I always struggle with my weight, I love food and make wrong choices!

Speaking of food--did you all look at Kathleen's blog today! Wow! Did she ever do it up right! Lots of good pics, fun writing, and food pics that look much too yummy. I wanted to leave her a comment, but don't know how to do so since I'm not a bloger. Anyway Kathleen, I loved your St. Pat's party.

this forum within the past two weeks and I have become
"addicted". I usually frequent the "decorating" or
"recipe exchange" as I love to cook/bake.

Hope you all had a wonderful St.Patrick's Day! I spent the morning cleaning out DH's study so that cable guy wouldn't run away in fright. Spent the afternoon shopping for DD's birthday (today). Made a yummy corned beef supper for us. I never realized until dinner that I'd forgotten to wear a bit of green today . . . and got soundly pinched for it by DD ;^P
