No window in powder room. Use glass block?

We are doing a redo of our master bath which used to share a toilet with the powder room. Now that they will be two separate rooms, the powder room will be small with no window. I do have sconces and an overhead, so I don't think it'll be too dark, but it might be too claustrophobic.

Contractor is suggesting putting in some glass block on the wall that butts up to the master bath (to get natural light from the master's window). I'm not sure it's necessary, and I'm not a huge fan of glass block. Is it too dated?

What are your thoughts? Anyone use a glass block in this situation?
