Me Again, with Easter Stacked Plates

The stacked plates are on my kitchen table, in an area by bay window between kitchen and familyroom. Two of my 4 cats had a little too much fun with the St Paddy's decor on them a few times, tho had left the Valentine's stuff alone. Lets hope they don't find Easter real interesting!

Front top half of stacked plates.....The topper is a ceramic egg from Michaels. Also from there are the two garlands I used, egg one on second plate and the lgt green berry one on bottom plate. I bought two fancy, 6 ft, beaded egg garlands at Marshalls. Put the pink one on the stacked plates and the blue one on the little white holiday tree on my front patio. Then at Michaels bought some florals, and took some apart and stuck flowers in plates here and there, along with some small bunny figurines I had in my collection.

"Backside of stacked plates decorated for Easter. I glued the little eggs in the tiny bird nest just so my Brat Cat (TY) doesn't have them all over the house when he finds them there. Also glued the eggs AND bird in the larger nest on front side. I'm learning

Not sure if this is an "arrangement" or not yet. But wanted to get pix for y'all to see. The egg tree and 4 resin bunnies came from Michaels. The Bunny Basket is by Fitz & Floyd and a Xmas gift from good friend. I put some plastic eggs in it. This is on my long kitchen counter. My 3 big Rooster cannisters are in middle of this counter, then on other end is the pair of rooster plates and the new Cabbage Bunny I just got.

And look what I found on eBay!!! An Easter egg with a bunny AND a whippet on it. The gal buys things, like these unfinished white ceramic eggs (this one had the bunny on it already), and she paints dog heads on stuff then sells them on eBay. She usually does just whippets/greyhounds but is now starting to do other breeds. (Seller name is primitivehounds4 if you want to look up her stuff on eBay. She does some really cute things for the holidays, all one of a kind.)

Sorry for hogging three posts, really loaded you down with photos this time. But I sure had a fun day, which mentally helped with this fool back problem that's dragging me down.

Well, aren't you the early bird? Very nice stacked plates. I haven't even decided what to put on mine yet. You have been busy gal--great job!

Love your little bunnies--I was going to ask if you decorated their necks or if they came that way? My favs are the ones with their little eyes closed--look sorta bashful. ;o)

They came decorated. The two with eyes closed seem to be bathing. Tho I told the one he better be praying for RAIN for me. Sick of hot weather already. Tho at least we're going to drop down to 70s this wk, and get three whole days of Spring afterall.

I bought the bunnies before ST Paddy's. Glad I did as Michaels had none of these left today!!!
They were pretty cheap too, think about $2 or $3 each. Cute little guys for Easter and Spring decor I think.

I didn't have any plan for my stacked plates decor. Just bought stuff that appealed to me at the stores and got home and started in. I'm happy with results, just hope Brat Cat hates and ignores them. LOL.
Would you believe, just as I finished my stacked plates, my DH comes in and says "is that supposed to be Easter decorations". Duh??? Wonder what his FIRST clue was? Men!!!!!!!!

I haven't figured out how to do that yet :>) I've found the stacking plates online,but by the time you add shipping, it makes the price ridiculous so it was just as simple to use what I already had. Glad you liked them.. and I'll trade the heat here for your snow anyday ! Betty, thank you ! When I'm sick of pink, I'll pay these placemats forward to you..lol ! FYI .. I just bought a set of 4 Carole Little's placemats at Marshall's today for $9.99 a set. They're pale pink with pink flowers on them. Also got a set in pale green with pink flowers. Satine, I usually get the GE II at Walmart, but you need to check the date on it. Sometimes theirs is old and then its not good. I use to buy the small tube, but with all the glass stuff I make for my yard (totems especially), I got the big tube and calking gun. Much easier. Home Depot is where I got that. Its what folks use for mosaics too. You are going to fit right in here. And if you love rescuing dishes, check out what you can do with them OUTside if you like the look of Totems. Tho some of the gals have them inside too. For plant stands. Also there is a cool Halloween one pictured. I set up a Garden Junk for my other Forum with 15 albums and over 550 photos of saved "inspiration". But over there on GJ, the Totems are like the Stacked Plates here. Addictive and way too much fun. And great way to save old dishes and give new purpose. Sunlight on the glass is gorgeous I think. We even make plate "flowers". bettyd, I think your arrangement looks wonderful! I've never tried stacked plates and hope my first attempt looks half as good. About your camera; I like the warm colors of the third picture best. When I got my first digital camera a couple years ago I would look at my finished pictures on the computer (kind of hard to see all the detail just on the camera's lcd). If I would take a shot like you did, several times in several different ways my computer would give me information when I ran the mouse over the thumbnail picture (such as flash or different icons for other settings I used). Hope I'm not confusing you. There are so many different brands of cameras out there. You have to figure out your own, but it is so much fun in the process. My friends laugh at me because I take pictures of everything! But then, when there's a "good" opportunity I feel like I have practised and am familiar with my camera.

Wow, now you're getting it, why am I not getting it? Guess I'm just slow!!! LOL

I just love the way you did the big ceramic egg in the top of your stacked plates, I would have never thought to do a big egg in there & it looks so fabulous!!!!

Those bunnies from Michaels are darling, now I've been in M's three times lately & I swear our M's has nothing like that! Those are sooooo cute!!

I have a big bay window, but can't do much in it, our male shih tzu thinks the window is there for him. He's the only one that sits in it, lays in it, naps in it & generally walks all around anything I put there. I'd love to decorate it, but he thinks it's his home!!! He's the stinker, the females never get near the window! So we both have naughty furry kids who won't behave & let us decorate!!!!

Karen, great job, I love your stacking plates, they came out so cute, your furbabies must think you really love them LOLOLO. I hope they just "look" LOL
The tree and baby bunnies are so cute, most of the Easter stuff here is wiped out, in this area if you snooze you loose!
The Fitz and Floyd bunny basket is very nice too, you have a great friend!

Karen, You certainly are the early Easter bird this year. I love your stacking plates and you chose perfect items to use on them. Good idea to glue some of your little items together. Hopefully if Brat Cat does decide to check your plates out he'll check those first and think it's all glued. LOL I love your egg tree and bunnies from Michael's. And of course your F&F bunny basket.

And do NOT think you are hogging any posts! We love all of your pics. Very inspiring to me to get busy around here. I haven't even gotten my Easter out of storage yet and like Luvs, have no idea of what I have to use on my stacking plates either. To be honest, my stacking plates still have St Paddy's on them. I should be ashamed!

Yachter, I have decided that all stores sell different things. Everytime someone has posted a pic of something I've liked and where they bought it I've gone searching, but much of the time without luck. For years I had a very bad cat and a very spoiled Mini Peke and "I" lived in "their" house. I would give anything to have them both with me now though. I now have 1 lab and he is the biggest baby I've ever had. He is very gentle and laid back so the only thing I can't do is put any stuffed animals within his reach as he will get them and take them to his bed with his other babies.

Sooo pretty! I love the little bashful bunnies too. You have quite a collection of Easter goodies, too! I don't have any animals, well, the deer in the yard, but they are uninvited, so if my stuff get messed up, no one to blame!

Wait a minute! Kathleen, you have Stud--we all know he is a "bad" boy! Oh wait--I forgot, he already went through rehab. LOL

Guess I better get off here and go see what Easter decs I have in storage area. I cut out a couple wood bunnies yesterday that I need to finish painting too--but they will go outside.

Karen, the more pics the better. Love to see pics when I sign on here! ;o)

Finished my bunnies and posted pics on the Painting forum if you want to see. Maybe tomorrow I will try to bring out my Easter decs and start putting together my stacked plates and figure out what to do for the table. I do have three or four weeks yet, right? No rush-but I have to be careful, I am getting really good at procrastinating nowadays. ;o) Luvs

purplemoon..... Nice job! Your stacking plates are very pretty. I like all of your bunnies, they are so sweet! I esp. like the "bashful" looking ones too.
