I had previously found the 1 1/2" gloss tiles from them. I'd still rather go with 1" if possible, but I guess I have to decide between three options now: 1. Go with gloss white 1" with matte black accents (border and rosettes) (total cost around $325 2. Go with 3/4" gloss white and gloss black (total cost ~ $375 shipped from Luxe Tile) 3. Go with 1 1/2" gloss white and gloss black. (total cost ~ $542 shipped from Mosaic Tile Supplies) Anybody done option #1? How kooky do you think it would look? One thing I did just note, the description of the Mosaic Tile Supplies' 1.5" hex lists them as " 1" from point to point". So are they 1" or 1.5"? I measured the tile we already have (from our other bathroom) and they appear to be 1 1/8" point to point. So I'm wondering whether the company has their facts straight on the dimensions or if they are mislabeled.

I just love this website :-) I've decided to go with the white hex and the Laticrete Silver Shadow grout - I looked online and saw several pictures and I really like it! (is it darker or lighter than the Mapei Warm Gray Bill V? I think they are very close according to this website - http://www.grout-aide.com/colors2.html) I actually really like the black/white example Bill V shared as it doesn't over-do the black flowers but after a bit more thought, I think that the all white hex will give us more options if we decide to change the paint later or the next homeowner has all boys :-) I'll have to save my idea of having black honed granite for our kitchen remodel next summer! * Side note, this will just be the girls' bathroom - we are currently adding a master upstairs as well and a powder downstairs for guests - you will certainly be seeing many more questions from me as we get closer to making final decisions in both of those spaces as well ;) Thanks for all the responses re: grout not matching between the two spaces. Bill V, I'm definitely giving consideration to both being the same as you suggest but going to leave that up to my husband to decide. I saw a picture on this forum that has the grout you suggested as their surround and it looks lovely with the chrome!!! alku05, yes, please share pictures! Does your granite have the garnet speckles? I read online that some of these slabs do and some don't - obviously with any of the paint options I'm looking at the red garnet speckles won't work ;) I also read that this slab resembles marble but without as much worry about staining - certainly something I'm going to look more into! - On that note, do you think the space will look balanced if I picked a granite like this one (with grey and/or white tones) if we go with all white and just the lighter grey grout? I just put in the Horus Art Cristalli tile in biscuit and I love it. I am awaiting the grout (which I will do in a matching color). I have honey/toffee maple cabinets in a Shaker style door, Crema Astoria granite (a creamy granite with white, black, and garnet areas, and with some subtle but not overpowering gray/silver movement). Even though I love clean lines, I chose this tile over the Tiffany (which is a straight subway) because it has a handmade appearance (the lines are kind of wavy, which go with the movement in the granite). It also has a little sparkle, which my granite does as well. I did not do a border or accent in my backsplash; I used only the HA Cristalli subways. I don't have a big kitchen - it's 10x10, only 15" from cabinet to counter. I chose to leave it plain as I want the focus on the granite and not the tile. I am so happy that I did! When I get a chance I will post some pictures.

I am doing an update in a guest bath. The new vanity top will have a mosaic tile backsplash which will extend to include the 2 wall ends. One wall end is where the linen closet is and the other is the wall where a window is. The bath tub sits directly across from the vanity. I am planning on installing the tile backsplash on the back of the vanity top to the bottom of where the large medicine cabinet is (apx 11" in height). On the sides, I would like to reduce the height to apx 6" up the side walls. I am also planning to install white bead board on the wall between the vanity and tub (the wall where the window is) and around to the linen closet. I would like the bead board to be at least 48", however the height of the backsplash wouldn't be that high. Would it look odd to have the lower portion bead board, the mosaic tile border, them continue with bead board to the 48" height? Of course, there would be trim between the tile and bead board. I have searched everywhere to find a picture that would show that, with no success. Any suggestions?
