Those dishes look lovely!! I dont have any great ideas but I think something like Tam's salad plates in this link might work for autumn. Just my 2c. I am not at all an expert at this - I am sure others will chime in with better suggestions.

I like those solid brown ones! I hadn't thought about them, but I do recall seeing them at HL and a few other places . . . and, they're relatively inexpensive. Thanks, I'll check them out.
I tried several of my other salad plates with the pinecone dinner plates last night, just to get an idea about salad plate sizes, and I noticed that I need to pay attention to their sizes. Apparently salad plates have increased in size over the years along with our eating habits! Many of my newer patterns covered most of the pinecone design.
I did find a pic of these salads from Spode this morning that also might work. They'd be more expensive than the solid browns, though.

Lynn, I have some pinecone dishes also. I don't have a full set-missing some of the small bowls. I use the old Hull brown dishes with mine. My Hull dinner plates are actually large enough to use for chargers. I think my pine cone dishes are smaller than yours. You could use solid brown, white or even a dark green with them. I love them-have fun. Satine

Satine, will you show me how you use yours in a place setting, please???? My dinner plates are 9 3/8" and I'm finding salad plates that are up to 8", which I was thinking, is too big to use. I was in town today and just happened to stop into a Tuesday Morning store. They actually had 4 of the Spode Woodland dinner plates, but no salad plates. It was the first time I've actually seen them in person. They're wonderful, but checking online for their salad plate dimensions tells me that they're 8". Do you think that's too large?
