What a nice tribute table. The lantern boxes are super, I'm adding them to my to do list. I love the large black and white plaid it really does set the mood. I'm enjoying your tribute tables here lately.

Love this t'scape, OA! Ansel Adams is such a "master" of B&W photography & a man whose connection to nature educated the world w/his photos...great admiration for his work!

Your adaptation of Martha's 3-sided lanterns are WONDERFUL! What creativity, OA! You do rock! Really cool additions for your centerpc...vintage camera & film!

Placesettings in B&W...napkins, dinnerware, stemware...very fitting & the canister nametags, cute! Enjoyed this t'scape! TFS, OA! Jeanne s.

Ronald: Yes, I have two seedling abiu trees. One has fruited one time, but I never got to tatse the fruit as we went away on vacation just before they were ready to be picked and they were gone when we returned. Here are some pictures I posted previously in another thread on this forum. Unforunately this bloom pictured, was only on one of the trees, and no fruit set. Actually, this particular tree has bloomed several times over the past few years (and multiple times per year) and has never set a fruit. I may have to take the chain saw out and let it rest by the trunk of the tree for a few days to see if that gets any rise out of the darn thing. There is a wide range of quality of fruit on Abiu, just like in Star Apple. How did your's compare?

Stacy, those photographs are fabulous! So original and unlike the usual group photos you see at most weddings. I loved the "something blue" shot. You really have an eye for this. You should consider taking some photography classes. I think you have a lot of talent there.

Alisande - Those look absolutely delicious! As a kindred spirit when it comes to using leftovers, I use all kinds of things for vegetarian cakes/patties and enjoy them for lunches and vegetarian Friday. Hubby says I bat "clean-up" at our house, when it comes to leftovers. Do you happen to make anything interesting from pulp left from making almond milk (or other nuts) and coconut milk? I keep adding to that recipe file. I hate to waste food!!! Which is one of the reasons I can stick to a $125/MONTH food budget for two adults. In my file there is a collection of recipes that use bread crumbs (including gluten-free homemade breads) for cookies, brownies, and pancakes/waffles. There is also a nice collection of recipes that use one ripe banana. I was all giddy when I learned recently how to eat the avocado seed and banana peels!!! Then there is a whole list of wonderful things to use rice water left from boiling rice - skin toner, hair treatment, acne treatment, vomiting/diarrhea, starching white clothes... I teach food and nutrition classes at the local Food Bank and I spend a lot of time helping people find simple recipes and uses for leftovers, which will really help save them money on their grocery bill. As the old saying goes - the most expensive food we buy is the food we waste. I added pulp to a lot of muffins, quick breads, meatloaf/meatballs, when I was juicing. Unfortunately, I no longer do juicing because of the high amount of carbohydrates, which gives me a digestive problem due to "dumping syndrome" (yes, that's a real condition - not a pun about wasting food ;-). If you suspect insect activity or fungus, you can throw on some insect and fungus preventer just to be safe. For a small lawn, it won't cost you more than $10 if you already have a spreader. Here is a link to the large bag. OA..I love this Tribute interpretation to AA...another one of my favorites...A true 'Artist With A Camera' and a Master of his craft. Love the MS Lantern and the Old Camera and Film...all the Black & White accessories add to the 'Drama' of this Table making it so wonderful.

I think you missed your calling as a 'Set/Prop' designer!

OA I believe you are very bit as talented and creative with your TSs as AA was with his photography. Wonderful job with those lanterns at first I thought they were Frames for digital pictures.

Thanks, everyone. The lanterns worked out much better than I ever imagined. And so cheap!

I already had the LED lights, which is the big cost, of course. Otherwise, everything else is free. I'm going to order two more LED sets, as I think I'll make a few red lanterns for our Fourth of July party, using pictures of Washington, minutemen, the Liberty Bell, etc. No, better make them blue. I think darker frames might work better. Or do you think it doesn't matter? I'll have to experiment with that, I guess.

I see a lot of possibilities. Honestly, they DO GLOW!

This is really nice. I love all the little touches you do so well, OA! The black stemware, the checked placemats, the wildflowers, and the great old camera. Since you said the camera was inherited, it would be an interesting blog, if you knew much about who had it,and what pics they took with it. Go girl!
