no they are not a great brand. waste of money really. If you do a search here and in the kitchen forums there is already a lot of feedback regarding this product.

not reliable, not good quality

I've had several price pfister faucets over the years and they are just fine, even when subjected to daily (ab)use.

A lav faucet is not that sophisticated a piece of machinery-- especially if you're looking at a basic 4" centerset or 8" widespread. (one handle kitchen faucets are a bit more complicated and are subjected to more abuse, IMO)

I'd steer clear of off brand HD specials, anything made of plastic, or anything that doesn't have ceramic washers. (you need these or it will inevitably drip) But there are plenty of great faucets out there Happy hunting!

Kirsty, I am relieved by your positive feedback. I did notice that most of the complaints seem to relate to kitchen faucets.

We've installed all PP faucets in our house (friend works for them, so we saved about $4K!!!). Of course, now I'm extremely nervous about this, given the reviews. We did pick out all of their nicer lines, most of which you can't find at a big box store. We made sure they all had ceramic washers - I think that is the key. We shall see!

I just went with PP shower valve and head because the parts are readily stocked where we live. Hey, I have fancy faucets in my kitchen and downstairs bathrooms and have been disappointed by both. My 5 year old expensive high end brand kitchen faucet has some serious issues. (Lady Lux) My 4 year old $$ bathroom fixtures from Sunrise have blown three ceramic gaskets and doesn't even function the right way anymore. I'm using PP in the new shower.

I'm done with bling. I want function and stocked parts. That said, my one Chicago pot filler faucet that I cheaped out on will outlive me, with no service required. I am sick of Fifth Avenue trends. Give me something that has longevity.

We have had a PP 2 handle kitchen faucet for 10 years. The finish is still perfect and our water has a little lime deposit in it. We had an issue with the faucet leaking around the stem recently. My husband took it apart and an internal part was slightly bent from our kids using the spount to pull themselves up to reach the handles when they were younger! We contacted PP online and asked them to replace the part b/c they have their "pforever" guarentee. They are sending the part to us and we are to send them a check for $5 to cover shipping. The part was not available at our local home improvement stores. The part was available on their website for $10.50 plus shipping but they replaced it for only shipping. We haven't received the part yet, but hopefully anyday. I guess maybe it's like any company, some product lines are good and others are designed poorly.

I am glad to hear this feed back because I was looking for a new PP for my Kitchen Reno. The PP I currently have has been fantastic. But it is not going to go with my new plans. I was thinking of getting another but more modern. Now I think I should do some research. Maybe I need to stay away from PP.
