Hi - We looked at both and went with the Electrolux Icon double set and absolutely love them. We've been in our kitchen since March, so it's not forever, but they've been a dream. Cook really well and I really like the controls. Easy to figure out - and I didn't expect how much I'd like that they fade out when you're not using it so it's a clean front except the clock. The gliding racks are fantastic - don't know who's had problems with them (read one who cleaned the gliders with something which had an affect on them?) But that was one of my KEY decisions. All three racks in both ovens glide - as opposed to the one in the KA Architect II. I asked and you can pay extra to get the gliders for the other racks but if I was spending for a double set, why would I want to pay more! The only feedback I have (and I posted this elsewhere) is that we placed them above the Electrolux warming drawer for a full stack. That makes the controls slightly above my eye height - and I am 5' 11"! I don't use the top rack of the upper at all b/c even though it slides, I have to lift the food up to get it there. Even the mid is a little higher than usual but I'm tall and hubby is 6'2". My advice would just be to put them in a regular double oven cabinet - I would have liked them slightly lower. That said, my 9 yr is a budding chef and even she can reach the controls so it's not that huge of a deal. Have had a 27" 500 series Bosch wall oven for almost three years and have been pleased in all respects. Quiet fan and large oven capacity for the size. The oven light goes off each time the door is closed so it has to be turned back on if you want it to stay on during baking. That is a pain, but not a major issue. I do have to rotate items once for even baking. If you want items to brown, convection must be used. For convection, Bosch says to reduce temp by 25 degrees and that has worked for me. Overall, the oven has the feel of a quality product. Although not metal, knobs still look like new. I think they'll hold up nicely long term. I don't tempt fate by using the self-clean feature. The interior walls seem to clean easily so I'm OK with that. I had planned to special order an easy glide rack, but the standard racks are hefty and glide nicely so have decided to stay with standard. You might search online to see if you can still special order. Compare prices through different vendors. Of course this review does not speak to possible issues with current models. I've known a few people who have had durability problems with KA ovens and would not go with them again. I feel your pain going through that headache of appliance shopping. Good luck.

I have Electrolux oven, Wolf range, KA 48 inch SxS frig, GE micro, Bosch DW, but I'm not a matchy matchy person. It wasn't even a consideration and my kitchen is the first thing you see in my house. I tried to look at the function of each. There are others who would be bothered if things don't match so only you know what camp you are in. My pots and pans don't match either.;-) I do like the KA frig. Only one small problem in that one of the doors sticks out slightly more than the other one. Hopefully they have fixed that bugger. The seals were manufactured two different thicknesses. I had them replaced a total of three times. Once because they were off. When they were replaced, they didn't adhere right and they had to replace the doors. Still not right but not that bad and the frig has been pretty good overall.

Regarding the Bosch maximum temperature, the way they present the specs are misleading. You need to check the owner's manual for the correct info. Max temp on a Bosch is 550F. Max temp using Sabbath Mode on a Bosch is what's limited to 450F (the Sabbath Mode limit is what's mentioned in the quick info sheet, which is why it's confusing). Note Thermador's new line of ovens (same parent company as Bosch) is limited to 525F on any bake modes. 550F is only available for broil and rotisserie. The Thermador ovens that are being replaced went to 550F. I don't know why they changed, other than perhaps the new swipe control "can't handle the heat".
