Thanks Steve2ski...I am in Clermont County. I will check out your website. I have pictures of it from when I was working on it last year (replacing starter) My biggest issues right now is the power steering and it doesn't just run as strong as in the past. I might just need a good tune-up...who knows. I am mechanically inclined (carpenter by trade)...but I really dislike working on engines. I will be in touch if we are not that far apart...

1st off, if you went to a mechanic who told you to drill a hole in the tank to let the contents out, get another mechanic. How shade tree can you get? Geesh. 2nd, I'm not familiar with your truck, but I don't think I've seen one where you'd have to remove the bed to drop the tank. Good news is I don't think you'd have to regardless. I pretty much agree with jemdandy. How much water do you estimate is in there? Is this truck fuel injected? Does it still run? If it's just a little water, a fuel system cleaner like jemdandy talks about should do it. If you want to drain the contents, you can get a siphon type pump for probably $10 to get most of it. If it's fuel injected, find a place where the fuel line is easy to get to, a fitting, the filter, whatever. Open the line at that point using flare nut wrenches only, either slip some kind of hose, fuel, vacuum, whatever, it's just temporary so it doesn't matter, over the end of the fuel line and run it to whatever container you're going to drain the contents into. Turn on the key, and the vehicles own fuel pump should drain the fuel. Good time to replace the fuel filter. Get some fuel system cleaner and re-fill the tank. Should be good to go. Main thing is don't panic. It shouldn't be that big of a deal. jmo

I have a 99 olds aurora and the back window rolls down but not up, I took the door panel off and tested the continuity with a fluke meter and then switched the switch with the other passenger door and still no success I tried the button while slowly closing the door as was suggested to someone else the master window control for the rear driver window doesn't work at all, I unplugged the battery for an hour thinking its just the computer needing to reset but again no luck, I just want the window up to protect from rain and for security purposes. Is there a way to bypass the switch or hardware the moter? I took the switch apart and tried bridging the contacts also with no luck. Please help

Last year my daughter was driving a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder, transporting her 2 children ages 1 and 3. This was the only vehicle that she owned and drove it for almost 2 years before the incident happened. My daughter totally lost all control of her steering after taking a left from a stop sign on to a main Hwy. She was almost involved in a serious if not fatal collision. Her husband had it towed to the dealership where they could find nothing wrong. They tried re-enacting what happened but still said they found nothing. My daughter refused to set foot in the vehicle with her children and got rid of it. This brings me to this web site today. Last night My mother was driving her 2009 Dodge Caliber to my house to visit me. She had bought the car new off of the lot and had been driving it since. She was waiting at a red light when she noticed an emergency vehicle approaching. Her light turned green and she waited to let the emergency vehicle pass. She said that she tried to give the car gas but it wouldn't move at first. She said that when it finally moved it acted like it wanted to fishtail but yet she hadn't given it too much gas. She was turning left at a major intersection and said the car was uncontrollably steering all over the road. She said it didn't matter which way she turned the wheel it went where it wanted to go. She described it as driving on ice. My mom made it to the median, turned the car off, with hazards on, trying to catch her breath. She was almost at the turn to my neighborhood so she decided to go very slow. She said that it could have been really bad. I believe that something serious is being missed mechanically. The reason that I'm searching for answers now is because it happened to 2 of my family members at different times and in different vehicles. How many more has this happened to or will this happen to? If anyone out there has any information that would help me find out what's causing this please let me know. Thanks
