Kathy . . .You say this is your first. Do you plan to make lots of them? No, not really my very first - 4th and 5th rather. First one was a frog, then a tea/coffee/sugar organiser-halfmoon table top then the ones in the pic. At the moment I am busy with an outdoor panel with a fish design then I am hoping to make 2 or 3 smaller outdoor panels.After that I will need to halt for a week or so - the house needs a spring cleaning!and the garden!

Odessa I found the pattern in an old book with quilted seasonal home decorations. I saw one posted on another site and realized I had made these before! Cut fabric 16hix18wide fold 19 in piece in half and sew down side and bottom. Pull 2 corners of bottom together and stitch together with a small stitch. This makes a flat fold on the bottom when the box is inserted. Fold 16 inch fabric down about 3 inches and sew a small casing about 1/4 inch wide for the drawstring. Make sure the seam is centered on the back and cut a small opening in the front for the drawstring. I use yarn to draw the top together and make a bow to attach to the yarn. They are so easy to make. Thank you so much everyone. This thread really lifted my spirits, and I thank you all for the kind thoughts. I stopped responding last night....because I fell asleep. I was done for the night at 7:30 pm. I'm basically a large toddler now. It's such a strange illness. So many people get it and report it's like a cold, some of us get it and it just whips our butts, and a few people get it and it literally kills them. The variation is wild.
