Bertazzoni Thread #3
Comments (1)I love Berta's. Might want to check the appliance forum. They have several threads on Berta's there. I want to see a picture when you have it in! I just couldn't afford one....See MoreSPRING is here... Seasonal thread part 3
Comments (249)@Flowers - I have a pagoda dogwood & a magnolia called yellow butterflies. They both are happy here. The magnolia is more tree like than shrub shaped. I bought it as a single trunk tree. I would have like one of the kousa dogwood trees, but I don't really have a spot for it. I purchased both as smaller plants, so they are just starting to get some size. I will take photos as they progress. @Diane - her illustrations are fantastic! It's very time consuming & tedious to do this type of work. Hope she really enjoys it. You are right about all the spring bloomers going so fast. But I think in my area where we have had 6 months of cold, the first buds & blooms of the season are magnificent! It's nice if a tree or shrub can give you the spring blooms, ornamental feature like berries and have fall colour. My serviceberry trees & dogwood do this. I would like to add a Red bud some day as well. Yesterday I found my first flower of the season! We went for a walk in the woods near us & we spotted these little blooms. The forest floor was covered in these popping up between all the leaves! I will post photos next....See MoreFALL is here! Seasonal thread part 3
Comments (130)Lisa, your Flamingo Garden's Tea is the epitome of a tea rose and I am captivated. I hope all those buds remain intact through the high winds. Gorgeous with Pomponella peeking through. Your bouquet may not be what you had in mind, but it is lovely and I wouldn't change a thing. I will be looking for a Cherry Caramel phlox! Love it! Sara Ann, what pretty grands you have. The grown up girl on the right in the 2nd pic must be the little girl in the first photo? And, the boy on the left must also be on the left in the 2nd pic? I can't decide which of the two young boys the little cutie blondie is. Mine are all girls except 1 grandson. We have photos of him and my dad, his great grand dad, sitting side by side on the porch, each wearing one of dad's hats from when he was tiny through his 20's, the last one taken just before my dad passed away. Those photos are so precious. Diane, you are always so complimentary. I could post a photo of dirt and you would find something nice to say about it. Those roses are Rosarium Uetersen, Quietness and Florentina, all in their shrunken, cold weather glory. Hope you put an extra blanket on the bed. We are both scheduled to get down to 14˚ tonight. I'm still doing the compost sling, too. Hope to wrap it up this week. It's too cold to stay outside for long....See MoreExperiences of those who purchased a Bertazzoni within last 3 years?
Comments (16)If purchasing one of these stoves in Canada, or any product from Canadian Appliance Source (CAS), please contact me first. I have a two-year historical service nightmare that has cost us dearly. These stoves have a long history of defective thermostats. They don't work which is a safety concern. They have no one trained that can service the stoves. We thought they would have the stoves serviced, but after 6 months of trying to find someone to service it, they conformed that they are unable to find anyone qualified to service these stoves. Instead, they decided to send us a replacement stove. The replacement stove had the exact same problem. This is when we found out that this has been an ongoing problem that has not been resolved. To add fuel to the fire, each time you receive a replacement stove, YOU will be out of pocket for the hookup fees which cost about $500 per hook up. We are on our third stove. I have documentation from Bertazzoni admitting to these issues but insistent that they are not responsible for hookup fees each time. after paying hookup fees for two replacement stoves that were both arrived defective with the same issue, we have chosen another brand. But I am still out of pocket for the hookup fees of these replacement stoves. We purchased out stove through Canadian Appliance Source. Canadian Appliance Source was aware of the ongoing safety issues with the thermostats when the sold it to us. They also refuse to take responsibility for the additional cost incurred. I have written documentation to support all of this and happy to share to make sure no one else ends up in the same very costly situation. We need to protect ourselves and other consumers from companies that do not take responsibility for their products. They are happy to take your money but once the sales is done, you are on your own. Buyer beware!!!...See Moresoonermagic
